matbro1984
I tried to work in the traditional big 3 championships and a couple of the gimmick match staples such as ladder and hell in a cell. I came up with this...  Ladder Match - Intercontinental Championship Chris Jericho v Chris Benoit Royal Rumble 2001 Promo - Match  Tag Team Championship match - TLC Dudley Boyz v Edge & Christian V Hardy Boys Wrestlemania X7, 2001 Match: Part 1 Part 2  Submission Match Stone Cold v Bret Hart Wrestlemania 13, 1997 Match:  Hell in a Cell Shawn Michaels v Undertaker Bad Blood, 1997 Match Career Ending Match Randy Savage v Ultimate Warrior Wrestlemania 7, 1991 Slightly cheating - the only ones on Youtube were in shit quality, so here it is on Dailymotion: Match Part 1 Part 2 Part 3  The Rock v Hulk Hogan Wrestlemania 18, 2002 Part 1  WWF Championship - Street Fight HHH v Cactus Jack Royal Rumble 2000 Part 1 Part 2 Part
cobra_gordo
matbro1984 wins the thread. Some good choices dude. I know they're not particularly left field but that would be an epic PPV.
matbro1984
Thank you. As you say, not especially surprising choices here but that's not what the thread was about. My #1 match choice was the Rumble 92 match for the WWF championship which buggered up so many subsequent match choices since that match alone featured Hogan, Piper, DiBiase, Flair, Undertaker, Bulldog, Shawn Michaels and Randy Savage
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted November 24, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 24, 2011 Here you go. The fans would need a drink of water after the first few matches, and there's no pacing whatsoever, but fuck it. I love all these matches:  20 Man, 10 team, Tag Team Elimination Match: WWF Survivor Series 1988: The Powers of Pain, The British Bulldogs, The Rockers, The Young Stallions and The Hart Foundation vs. Demolition, The Brain Busters, The Bolsheviks, The Conquistadors and The Fabulous Rougeaus Part 1 Part 2 Part 3  WWE World Heavyweight Title: WWE WrestleMania 23 The Undertaker vs Batista Match  Six Man Tag Team Match: WCW Slamboree 97 Ric Flair, Roddy Piper & Kevin Greene vs. Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Syxx Part 1 Part 2 Part 3  Vingette: Jimmy Valiant Sings Son Of A Gypsie  No Holds Barred Match: WCW Fall Brawl 2000: Bill Goldberg vs Scott Steiner  Career Ending Match: WWF WrestleMania VII: The Ultimate Warrior vs The Macho King Randy Savage Part 1 Part 2 Part 3  WWE Tag Team Tournament Final WWE No Mercy 2002: Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit vs Edge and Rey mysterio Match  Steel Cage Match For the WWF World Title: The May 27, 1989 Edition WWF Saturday Night's Main Event: The Big Boss Man vs Hulk Hogan Part 1 Part

Paid Members air_raid Posted November 25, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 25, 2011  My brain shouted "why have I forgot this match?" then I remembered the shitty non-finish.  Chris Hero vs KENTA  Interesting. Personally I think there are plenty of better KENTA matches on there. This is still good though.   KUDOS on choosing this one. From a storytelling point of view, this is my favourite match of theirs, even though there are plenty of mid-90s matches between the two that the PS types say are better, even in terms of "best match ever." This might actually be my favourite match ever, mostly for the last five minutes.   This over their Rumble '03 match? You confuse me, Super Cena. We are similar, but not the same.  Hell in a Cell Shawn Michaels v Undertaker Bad Blood, 1997 Match  WONDERFUL. You probably could have found their 'Mania matches on the toob, but this - by and large forgotten in comparison - is a better watch for me. What a belter. One of my absolute favourites.   I fucking love that after all the great stuff on the rest of Ian's card... Boss Man goes on last. Quite right.    . Paid Members air_raid Posted November 25, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 25, 2011 Is it acceptable to use a wrestler both in a match and an angle? If said wrestler isnt doing anything physical in said angle but just stood around in a suit?
SSJLogan
This thread is beautiful and is gonna give me a lot of wrestling to watch over the weekend. There should be a similar thread but making the WORST ppv ever.Although im sure you can just post the ECW December to Dismember ppv (if that was the right name).
