Norwich City 2-w Queen's Park Rangers

Say what now?!?

Oh, and still no sign of ultimo, just as I thought. It'd actually be in his interests not to bet on Parma winning if he wants to maximise possible bonus points. Dunno if he'd be that underhanded though. :sneaky:

ultimo's strange selection.

Can't remember if it was my first choice (Probably second after United), i've been a Parma fan since around 1996 the era of Zola, Asprilla, Brolin (Pre-Yorkshire pie eating Champion), Dino Baggio etc

Sorry. Could have sworn I'd already posted my predictions but only just remembered that I actually hadn't.

Sorry. Could have sworn I'd already posted my predictions but only just remembered that I actually hadn't.

In fairness, this was one of the better weeks to be forgetful. In the previous 4 weeks there have only been 3 Sunday matches, so you were lucky there were 4 in one round and you still had the chance to get 12 points. Your haul of 2 was still the lowest score though, with ultimo the worst of those who posted in time to pick the entire card on just 3 points. Getting a D2D wrong will do that to you. I can understand a vestigial admiration for Parma based on their mid-90s side, but without the financial backing from that era they've been down to Serie B and back again since then. Even so, there's little excuse for throwing away a one-goal lead at Novara's tiny ground, which was hosting third-tier football in the very recent past. It was a classic D2D as it turned out (i.e. result was unlikely but not ridiculously so, nor was it obvious), as only 7 players could fathom anything other than an away win, and deservedly got their bonuses.

Anyway, the final scores have been in the original post since Sunday night, but it's since been pointed out that I got one slightly wrong by missing a late goal on Saturday. I uploaded a table to the usual places on Monday morning, but I'm not linking to it as that one goal changed way too much. I've corrected everyone's points total on my hard drive's version of the table, but I can't be bothered to move people into the right position for the second time in 48 hours and then re-upload. I originally had Del down as top scorer for the week, and though he was the only other player into double figures, it's Keeno who takes the honours. At the wrong end, tom closes the gap by a point after I thought he'd been cut further adrift, while sivy's lead stands at 8 points, back to where it was a fortnight ago.

In the first post of the last round's thread, I left a note at the bottom saying I hoped no game would be called off again due to an attempted suicide. Sadly this week there was a successful high-profile suicide in the game, which didn't affect our trivial little FPL as it happens, but I'd have understood had the Swansea match been called off. The stalemate in that fixture came as even less of a surprise given the subdued atmosphere in the stadium.

The Novara result aside, the least successfully guessed scores were at the Stade V
