Is it a case of something like WWE Universe mode or the old GM mode from the SmackDown vs. RAW franchise, where you take control of a brand, play through a calendar putting together shows by drafting matches, angles etc? That's when those MDickie games had similarly-named characters, but I think an "unofficial" add-on that renamed them all to their real-life counterparts.
