I though this might be a wind up, but after checking his Twitter it seems it's true. Fuck me, he's the last guy I ever expected to cut ties with the WWE. Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted February 6, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted February 6, 2019 Has something happened between him and WWE? Surely this isn't minor news.
Paid Members Statto Posted February 6, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted February 6, 2019 How sad will it be if that awful tag match in Saudi Arabia ends up being both Taker & Shawn's last WWE match?
Liam O'Rourke
Well, it's not sure what it means yet. The big talk is that he's not booked for Mania, so who knows. He knows how to make his cash, bless him.
Paid Members Accident Prone Posted February 6, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted February 6, 2019 Steve Austin took meet'n'greet bookings at WreslteCon last year and he doesn't have WWE on his social media either. Expect a few non-WWE signing appearances for 'Taker, that's all. It's hardly massive news.

Paid Members BomberPat Posted February 6, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted February 6, 2019 Yeah, it can't be anything more than Undertaker doing more public appearances to promote stuff, do meet and greets, "evening with" shows, and tapping into the lucrative after-dinner speaker market. He'll still answer whenever Vince phones, and doesn't need to be under a proper contract for that to be the case - he's not leaving WWE to take bookings on the indies, for God's sake. Though if, after everything, after coming back from his presumed retirement, and decades of people fantasising about what The Undertaker's final swansong would look like, after years of "The Last Outlaw" and him being depicted as the old gunslinger, how mental would it be for his WWE tenure to just whimper to an unacknowledged close? That depends, if weapons are allowed then Nick gets an extra 23.33% chance of winning but Scott is at least twice the man Gage is..
