WWE has always been a temporary deal for Rousey. She wants to start a family with husband Travis Browne. Although WWE reported Rousey’s contract as full-time for multiple-years, it was only, in reality, a one-year deal. Paid Members Chris B Posted January 24, 2019 Paid Members Share Posted January 24, 2019 If that's true, that helps explain why they were rushing her to the championship - they didn't have time for the chase or building up much else in terms of storyline. Just get her to the main events as fast as possible, so you're getting as much out of her as possible in one year. They were incredibly lucky, looking back, that she was a phenomenon with regards to picking up how to actually work so quickly, and that they've got Becky ready to pick up the slack. Her beating Asuka the same night Rousey debuts, all building to Charlotte beating Rousey the following year, with them both built up as much as possible. PSF Posted January 24, 2019 Share Posted January 24, 2019 I keep assuming it will be a Triple Threat match at Mania. Would certainly help with keeping the winner under wraps if Ronda is leaving. She’s had a stellar debut year in the WWE and every single one of her matches has been a stand out on whichever show she performs on.
