chrisisfear
Well, as 2011 comes to an end, as does the final Grand Pro Wrestling show of 2011! GPW: "Do Or Die"!   December 2nd at the Rose Club we're in for another huge night of Grand Pro Wrestling, the new ring has been broken in (not literally) from Night of the Brave, and following a packed house it's time to head into the final show of 2011! We've just over 4 weeks to go until Do Or Die, and 2 matches have already been confirmed from Night of the Brave...  GPW Heavyweight Championship Dirk Feelgood vs. Dangerous Damon Leigh  Former Heavyweight Champion, Dirk Feelgood has made it his lifes work to regain the title he claims he never lost. DDL has worked all his career to hold the title. Who will walk out with the belt in this final showdown?  Dirk held the title from October 2006 until September 2007. Ever since losing the title, he has been chasing it on a mission to become the first ever Two Time GPW Heavyweight Champion.  The Heavyweight Title was the only title to have evaded reigning Champion DDL in his illustrious 10 year career. He eventually captured the title at GPW: "Guts & Glory" to become the second ever Triple Crown Winner and has been a fighting champion ever since. DDL has beaten Dirk twice in two months, tapping the MasterPlan leader out at "Friday Night Thriller V" following a wild roster-wide brawl, and pinning him clean in the Cibernetico at "Night Of The Brave" to win the match for his team. However, because Dirk is still recognised as the No.1 Contender, and never officially received his contracted one on one match, it has been decided that he will get his shot at in the main event of GPW: "Do Or Die". Can he become the first ever two-time GPW Heavyweight Champion? Or can DDL notch up another win as champion and end 2011 the way he started it?   GPW British Championship Ste "Bin" Mann vs. Jack Gallagher  Night of the Brave turned out to be Night of the Binman following his huge victory in the main event by capturing the first Northwest Rookie League title against Jason Logan. Following his victory, GPW Announcer, Sam Shaw confirmed that GPW Management had also given Binmann a shot at the GPW British Championship at GPW: Do Or Die! There is no doubt Binmann is a GPW sensation but his next challenge means he will really have to raise his game against "The Grappler", Jack Gallagher.  Gallagher retained his British Championship in a MOTY contender against Zack Sabre Jr at Night of the Brave. The pair gave a master class in pure wrestling and it was Gallagher who on this occasion came out of it victorious. Thought he has proven in recent months that he is truely at the top of his technical game, Binmann will prove to be a very different sort of opponent for Gallagher, who will no doubt be promising to break the Northwest Rookie Leagues Champions arm in his first GPW title challenge!   Casket Match Voodoo vs. Heresy  Heresy made his return to Grand Pro Wrestling at Night of the Brave, in search of his missing tag team partner, Kastor LeVay. Kastor has been missing for some time, and Heresy was pointing the finger at the return of Voodoo! The GPW big screen was intercepted by a video message from Voodoo, showing the capture of Kastor, Voodoo then challenged Heresy to a match where if Heresy won, Voodoo would return Kastor return to him safely. Voodoo wanted Heresy in a Casket Match at Do Or Die! Heresy reluctantly agreed to the match, but also admitted to having Necrophobia, especially a fear of the undead and coffins!  Can Heresy overcome his phobia to rescue his partner from the hands of Voodoo? Or will the Mysterious One gain revenge for the beating he received from Paradise Lost that put him out of action for almost a year?!   Northwest Rookie League 8 Man Match: Revenge of the Fallen! The Great Suzuki, LA Austin, Action Jackson & Jynkx vs. Jason Logan, JD Sassoon, Skullcrusher & Ken Zen  We draw a line under the inaugural North West Rookie League by inviting back the two opposing team captains and all of their eliminated team members for a huge 8 Man Tag! It was Team Suzuki who took the win in the NWRL final, but who will get the last laugh?  The big 8 Man Match gives you another chance to see some of the impressive up and coming UK talent in action. Eliminated team members, Action Jackson, Jynkx and L.A Austin are lead one last time by The Great Suzuki into battle against Jason Logan and previously eliminated team members, Ken Zen, JD Sassoon and Skullcrusher. There are some serious unsettled scores to address in this one, who can end the first ever NWRL, and our last show of the year with a win?    The Cyanide Slam Challenge Cyanide's Attorney and Law, Alan A.A Tasker has brokered a deal for a special Cyanide Slam Challenge. Tasker is convinced that no man in the country can pick up and body slam his monster. He has agreed with management that if someone is successful, that person will be granted a No.1 Contender's spot for the Heavyweight Title, if no one succeeds however, Cyanide will be declared the official No.1 Contender. This Slam Challenge is open to anybody, can someone slam the monster?    Grudge Match: Danny Hope vs. Zach Diamond  Zach Diamond was scheduled to make his return to GPW after a lengthily and serious injury at Night Of The Brave in the Torneo Cibernetico. However, thanks to an unprovoked attack by Danny Hope, that comeback was cut very short.  A jealous Danny Hope shocked fans when just as Zach was about to lock up, he ran from backstage and attacked him taking him out of the match and re-injuring his surgically repaired ankle. Danny then took Zach's place on the team, declaring that Zach had taken his place last year in the 3-way British Title Match, and this was revenge.  Injuries have stood in Danny's way recently, and caused him to miss several opportunities. It was last year, at GPW: "Guts & Glory" that broken ribs prevented him from taking part in the 3-way for the British Title. He was replaced by Jack Gallagher who in turn invited Zach Diamond into the match, who then subsequently won it. It was a last minute injury once again at GPW: "Friday Night Thriller V" that caused Danny to pull out of the 4-Way No.1 Contenders Match to the Brit Title, he was replaced by Mikey Whiplash, who went on to win it. Danny is pointing to these injuries as the reason for the attack on Zach, and now Zach wants his own back.  At GPW: "Do Or Die" the two will square off in a first ever one on one match, with a whole lot of bad blood! Can Zach write the wrong Danny did him last month, or will the deluded Danny Hope create more problems for the former British Champion?     MasterPlan Challenge: Kirby vs. Bubblegum  In a rivalry that has been building for some time, Martin Kirby takes on former GPW Heavyweight Champion, The MasterPlan's, Bubblegum.  It was Bubblegum who cost Kirby and Bin Man the NWRL Dream Partners Match in October against him and bodyguard Jason Logan. Bubblegum called for the bell, declaring the ring unfit for action and refused to go back in. With newest MasterPlan member, head official Michael Fitzgerald on his side, the bell was rang and the match awarded to Bubblegum and Logan. Since the show, Bubblegum has made no secret of blaming the ring break on Kirby.  The two continued their fierce feud in the Cibernetico, but now, for the first time the two will face off one on one. But, there is a stipulation. What, we don't know yet, all we're told is that it'll be a special MasterPlan Challenge. The cryptic stip will be revealed on the night, but with the odds firmly stacked against Kirby, can MiTB winner, "Hindley's Own" Martin Kirby overcome them to defeat his nemesis, Bubblegum, or will the MasterPlan stip play right into the hands of Bubblegum?  ------------------------------------  GPW: "Do Or Die" Friday, December 2nd The Rose Club, Atherton Rd, Hindley, Wigan WN2 3EU  Tickets are only
Proper_Bo
Again looking to be a great show from GPW. I missed NOTB due to work, but I'd love to see DDL v Dirk, Hope vs Zack Gibson and some sort of Joey Hayes/Kirby/Ligero vs Masterplan match to finally end the feud

Paid Members gadge Posted November 16, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted November 16, 2011 A good read as usual. One nitpicky question about The Dynamite Kid, purely because I'm intrigued - I remember him appearing at the end of Revival to present Jody Fleisch with the King of England trophy, which was 2002... What was the appearance you were thinking of? Â Gutted to once again not be able to make this, but I'll be making the trip up in 2012, you can believe it.
