The Total Package
Ah sorry totally missed your link from before, well that explains it, cheers. Â Your WD 2TB died, that's a shame, Ive had mine close to a year now, no problems, it does seem to be just luck with any HD, same with any electronic goods, I had a PS3 that died on me after 3 weeks, now that shit really pissed me off, I guess you just have to take it on the chin, however when something has that many out right negative reviews like the seagate its just asking for trouble. King Pitcos
The Seagate one I got from Argos didn't work. Mac didn't recognise it at all, PC recognised the enclosure but not the drive, and even that took a bit of fucking about. Taking it back tomorrow. Stylin_and_Profilin
HDD's in most forms are likely to creep up steadily for the next while. I work in the IT industry and our procurement department has been told we've to expect a 4-6 week backlog on any of our normal stock orders plus price increases due to the floods in Thailand which is apparently where the vast majority of the devices are produced. Ouch !
