All kinds of shit going on to celebrate Pearl Jam's 20th Anniversary as a band.

Luckily got to go see the new Cameron Crowe documentary PJ20 in the cinema last night and it was fucking tremendous. If anyone here is a fan of the band they need to see the documentary. It doesn't really break ground and tell untold stories but it's a great snapshot of the bands history. Some of the footage Crowe has unearthed is gold, especially some incredible like performances, which despite being old look and sounds amazing.

There's a soundtrack available and a book that i need to pick up.

Anyone else seen the documentary? or got any of the other stuff?

I saw the film back when they did the initial screenings in September, it was fantastic. Picked up the soundtrack as well which is a great little package. Worth ownin for the rendition of 'Release' alone. I'm a huge Pearl Jam fan an would also recommend the documentary to anyone with even a passing interest in the band.

yeh i read they were going to go on a bit of a hiatus.

I need to see the band again, i first saw them at the Leeds Festival in '06 and they blew my mind that night. I then saw last year at Hard Rock Calling, and ive kind of been bugged by that day ever since. It was a good day but i ended up getting a little bit too pissed and the volume in Hyde Park was pathetic, i'd never go there to see a show again. I need to see the band again.
