Charles goodwill
Following a discussion I had with a mate I thought I would put up the topic of our chat on here. What makes a successful tag team and how many do you think fit the bill in British wrestling. Our general opinion was that matching gear is a must for a tag team to be considered a serious team. Personalities are important, a similar gimmick works wonders. Looking at the top 50 got us thinking who would be your top tag teams and why. For us we went with Project Ego, Fight Club, Leaders and Blackpool Blondes. So who are your favorite Britisg tag teams and why do they get your vote? fye
Fight Club are great, Full Pack, who only really work for NEWS and AAW as a team are also great and have been together for about 7 years now on and off. Neither tend to travel for work but they are both capable of match of the night every night whether they be in singles or tags.LDRS I have never seen but have heard only amazing things about. For me its the obvious stuff, look, chemistry, move set, charisma, all the stuff I look for in a wrestler anyway but when you combine it with another and something clicks then its great to see. Too many teams break up too easily nowadays, the ones with longevity are always the best in my opinion.Blaze & Rampage are an exciting young team but I fear their long term futures will be apart. Also, The Dragon Ryders in NEWS will be really coming into their own next year I reckon. I'm biased I know.Ligero & Diablo in NGW always seem fun. fludder99
I like The Models, great gimmick. Plus M.O.B I think still have life outside of 1pw. Also I must say Disco Madness are the ones to watch
Paid Members ReturnOfTheMack Posted October 7, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted October 7, 2011 Project Ego all the way for me. They just have a natural chemistry with each other that really works. In the past I was a huge fan of both The UK Pitbulls and Damned Nation too.

knightmare
In WAW we have a very healthy tag division, Army of 2, London Inc, Special Edition, The Metalheads and of course Bud and Bex the football hooligans who i would put on par with any tag team in the UK. London INCLondon INC, one of the teams mentioned by Knightmare, have matching gear, similar personalities and wrestling style. They walk, talk, act and function as a cohesive unit, instead of two random guys thrown together.

Snitsky's back acne
Are Bud and Bex still a team? I thought they had split?Shame if so, they certainly look the part and if WWE is serious about wanting a football hooligan team then they should consider them. The Cum Doctor
The Bucky Boys ( Davey Blaze and Steven Xavier ) have been thrilling the ICW audience in style for the last 12 months or so. A really awesome tag team. Fight Club are obviously brilliant. Disappointed not to see more of CJ Hunter and Johnny Starr as a tag team, as their PBW title defences were regularly the highlights of shows. The match against One Knight in Paris in particular was incredible.

Frantic
The Dunne Brothers always seem to get under looked but their wrestling is great; gimmicks are great and their looks are always improving.
