Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted July 29, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted July 29, 2016 I would go to a Star Trek convention. Love Star Trek. I am now going to google Star Trek conventions in London.
Paid Members Monkee Posted July 29, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted July 29, 2016 I went to the Star Trek convention a couple of years ago but didn't dress up. I love wearing the helmet though and being anonymous. It's still a bit weird when people ask to have a photo with me.
Paid Members Monkee Posted July 29, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted July 29, 2016 This was my White Walker cosplay from MCM a couple of years ago.
Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted July 29, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted July 29, 2016 Read it as Walter White, got very confused. Once I stopped being an idiot, realized it was great.
Undefeated Steak
Glad I wasn't the only one there Sergio. Amazing work again though Monkee!
Paid Members Monkee Posted July 29, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted July 29, 2016 Thanks! I'm going to be experimenting with latex for the October MCM as I'm going to go as a zombie CDC scientist. I really want to try working with some prosthetics.
Juan Manforce
I was at Celebration so I probably saw you at some point Monkee! Some of the costumes were incredible, yours included I have to say.
Paid Members Surf Digby Posted July 31, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted July 31, 2016 Pulling off the "sensitive, but still ruggedly handsome" look. You could stick that on an Athena poster.

Paid Members Kaz Hayashi Posted August 1, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted August 1, 2016 Stop, think, ask before...? I've been trying to solve it for 10 mins, I concede.
Paid Members Surf Digby Posted August 1, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) Took me a moment to work out what you were referring to there. At first I thought you might have posted in the wrong thread. "Curtains closed? STOP - THINK! Ask BEFORE entering" [Edit] Moved the other bit to the babies thread, as this one's for you all to appreciate Me and I don't want him stealing my thunder. cobra_gordo
Monkee, me and the wife saw your Boussh costume at Celebration! I was wandering around in this that I made- I've also got this which took me around 3 years to make but it's impossible to see out of so left it at home for Celebration. Edit: Managed to get pics to upload but Christ they're massive. Edited August 2, 2016 by cobra_gordo
SuperBacon
Dude, that jacket is amazing!!!!
Paid Members Monkee Posted August 2, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted August 2, 2016 That jacket is fantastic but that Tusken Raider is absolutely amazing! I know what you mean about not being able to see much though - I have very limited vision with the Boushh helmet on. And I can't hear much either. My mate has to guide me a little when I've got it on.
cobra_gordo
Cheers guys. The jacket was difficult to make because I made all the patches from scratch but the Tusken was a different ball game! Fortunately I've got an understanding wife. I have very limited vision with the Boushh helmet on. And I can't hear much either. My mate has to guide me a little when I've got it on. Do you have fans or anything in the helmet or is it just difficult to hear full stop? I've got a speaker in the front of my Tusken lid connected to an ipod shuffle that's in my right glove so I can play Tusken sounds when I feel like it.
