Porn should be fun.  All this making women gag and vomit, and all the nasty rough sex just sickens me.  Some real vile stuff out there, which is why I mostly stick to the 80’s filth.

It didn't ring true when Ted Bundy tried to blame porn in the late-eighties, but I'd be amazed if the current glamorisation of fantasy rape fetish porn isn't nurturing some serial killers in waiting.

Anyone else see the clip where Rocco is having anal sex with a ginger chick, and when he takes it out, he has poo all over the head of his dick, and the ginger chick looks at it guiltily, like a dog whose vomited on the rug, before sucking it off him.

Porn girls!

There is a popular webm of a Japanese girl pulling back a guys foreskin that looks like he has a years worth of smegma built up and she proceeds to lick it clean.

Yep, and computer games make kids violent etc. etc.

While I don't dispute the core point, and NoUseforaUsername is a blight on planet earth, I recall reading a few articles proposing that the easy access to porn from a young age and the array of harder stuff without barriers to escalation is killing a standard libido and arousal for some people.

The scientific backing for such claims has been inconclusive at best though. Can't bloody find it now but I did a blog entry a few months back on a therapist who claimed that the paucity of porn access back in the 80s and early 90s was partially to blame for comparatively less liberal attitudes towards sex and sexuality.

Of course, you can have too much of a good thing. And in the wrong hands, it can be abused and lead to problematic behaviour. But there is also a much wider spectrum of porn available now, and people are discovering through it their particular likes and kinks and sexual leanings - and that may not have happened without easy porn access.

Check out the Jon Ronson's podcast series The Butterfly Effect. It's about the knock-on effect PornHub and free porn sites had on the actors and porn industry as a whole.

There's a good episode on how the access to free porn effects young kids. Focusing on this one young lad who did some pretty bad things. Well worth checking out.

Agreed, and in truth given how little I clearly recall and fell back on 'proposed' I'm not convinced, but it's a point of discussion amongst some I believe.

Certainly. There are upsides and downsides to the added availability of porn in the internet era but as per usual, the media tend to focus on the negatives rather than the positives. Even so, there have been some excellent pieces on the positive side of the spectrum in places like The Daily Beast (from Aurora Snow especially) and Forbes lately.

Not the first time someone's agreed with me while disparaging me at the same time.

It's disturbing to me to me to see how common and normalised it is to see a male actor grabbing a female co-star by the throat while engaged in coitus.

James Deen is one I've seen do this with several co-stars, which is ironic as I've heard of this guy being championed as "women's favorite pornstar".

I'm not sure if that's changed since the allegations surrounding him.

I believe he ran a service on his website, don't know if he still is, where female fans can pay to have sex with him.
