Paid Members Azrall Posted September 27, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted September 27, 2011 Where would you like to meet up for this then chaps and chapettes? The bar at the venue is ok, but I wouldn't say it would be a great socialising place - my view, save it for the show.  There are some pubs literally 5 mins walk from the venue, which are ok. Or failing that, plenty in the town centre. Easilly accessible to taxi's etc.  Depending on how the day goes, I might be driving. So I can accommodate two extra in my car as I think Miss Kachoo would kill me if I didn't offer her a lift first  But it's a meet up....alcohol seems more important. Paid Members Azrall Posted September 30, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted September 30, 2011 Due to some tweets i've received over the past couple of days, there seems to be a it of confusion about travel...I'll clear this up...  MegaBus DO NOT drop off at Swindon Bus station they drop you at "Stratton Park" Which is a bus stop next to a sainsbury's It's about a mile and a half from the venue and you will need a Taxi to get there. You Could walk it, but it would take you a good hour's stroll.  Nation Express go directly to the Bus Station.  For those coming by train. If you want to meet up for a Pint, I personally suggest we hang about the town centre as there are plenty of pubs there and the venue then is a 5-10 mins by cab. There is a a pub near the venue, but you'd still have to get a cab to it.  For those wishing to book/use cabs, the best two numbers to use are the following  01793 701 701 - Vcars - Not a bad company, but the polish drivers like to go to your destination via scotland... 01793 611 111 - United - my personal choice, always quick to arrive and usually good value.  I'm on twitter, @Azrall should you have any Swindon related questions. Failing that, throw me a PM on here.  Hope this has cleared up a few issues.
