Moderators PowerButchi Posted September 4, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 4, 2011 When it came time to promote, the only colour Watts saw was green. Â Still didn't like jews though. Or maybe because the jew in particular he hated was P.U. Paul Heyman.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted September 4, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted September 4, 2011 doubt Vince would have ever hired him though if he was going round shouting niggers at every oppourtunity. Bill Watts was hired in 1995/96 as one of the WWF's head bookers, a little while after he got fired for being a racist in WCW. Watts even beat Mankind on a house show in a casket match (although that might have been after he left his booking post). Watts left because he thought Vince would never break out of the current booking patten he was in, and Watts didnt want to stick around. As Watts said, there's only one boss in WWF, so its hard to get your influence across. They left on smashing terms. Cowboy Bill still pops up now on WWE products. Â Watts seemed to be an equal opportunity prick. He'd tell people how to "work a kick" and when they got down on all fours, he'd book them in the ribs. Scott Steiner famously was the first person to tell Watts to fuck off to his face. Stan Lane recalls in his shoot interview how all the locker room couldnt believe him telling Watts where to go and Watts not saying a word back. Moderators PowerButchi Posted September 4, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 4, 2011 Didn't Shawn Michaels still have it in for The Cowboy as well after a fine The Cowboy levied against him back when Michaels was inspecting the lights in mid-south. Aye I remember the story from Foleys book, Bill Watts definately strikes me as the type of guy Vince would get a real kick out of, just seems his type of person. fugaziuk
Didn't Shawn Michaels still have it in for The Cowboy as well after a fine The Cowboy levied against him back when Michaels was inspecting the lights in mid-south. Â Watts brought that up at his hall of fame speech and the camera cut to HBK who didn't look pissed off or anything.

Because in the 21st century, Watts and Michaels are well in with the Lord. They are both on that kick. Its even in the Bible that you dont hold a grudge from a bad pay off in the Mid South territory. Shawn Michaels was telling Jose Lothario to go fuck himself in 1996. Shawn Michaels might not hold a judge today, but both Watts and Michaels were different back then
Moderators PowerButchi Posted September 4, 2011 Moderators Share Posted September 4, 2011 No then. In hindsight, I think it was Scott Keith who claimed that so I should have known better. Michaels was a bit ornery about it in his shoot, but Shawn Michaels at the time of his RF Shoot and Shawn Michaels in 2009 or whenever it was that Watts got inducted are night and day. Â Reading around the internet, turns out that Cowboy Bill was only booking for WWF for about 3 weeks in Autumn 95 and was behind the best TV tapings and angles that year. Tommy Atkins
Watts always reminded be a bit of Big Ron Atkinson, the way they were noted for pushing black athletes (Atkinson fielded three black strikers at West Brom in the late 70s) but were later demonised as bigots. They even look a bit alike.

It's only the media who push big Ron as a biggot really, I think most people with abit of sense realise he isnt't Paul McGrath, Dalian Atkinson and a few others came out in his defence and said they were mates and he was definately no racist, still a baffling thing to say like, always felt sorry for the bloke though. Watts was not exactly traditional management material for a name-brand corporation that took public relations, investor confidence, and political correctness seriously. In a boom period for sexual harassment lawsuits, Watts thought nothing of calling a female colleague a "cunt
