Well, despite the early start, everyone managed to get their picks posted in time for Friday's matches. The results went straight into the original post on Sunday evening and the table followed here on Monday morning. Scores were lower than usual for an international round, and particularly disastrous for last season's winner. The former Haraga rises to the top half of the standings with a top-scoring performance of a dozen points, but of course sivy still leads overall. At the other end tom remains handicapped by having missed 2 weeks, while Two-Face takes over from Rory as the worst of the rest. The former was one of only 3 people to wrongly agree with hbk4life, along with BushwhackerDel who joins the title holder and El Espanacas as lowest scorer.

So, that late penalty decision by the Dutch ref proved costly for the Scots in more ways than one, since it snatched a potential 40 points from the defending champion, which would've matched sivy's opening week feat and put him clear in second place. A lot of those who disagreed didn't take any more points from the match though, as an away win was a popular guess, along with a lower scoring draw. Further afield, the north African giants of Algeria and Tunisia were held by lesser powers on their travels, but Angola's comfortable home victory in the unofficial Super Sunday clash was one of the more fruitful scorelines.

Before all that though, way back on Friday only England and Germany's successes were considered obvious, and even the latter's margin of victory caught everybody out. A dishearteningly high number of people did foresee the Ulstermen messing up their chances at Windsor Park mind, as their fellow islanders were limping to another boring stalemate, which was equally widely guessed here. The losses by the odd goal in three for Sweden and Montenegro, however, took a fair few participants by surprise.

All right, you'll have realised this is late, so expect another thread very soon, with a return to club football at more reasonable kick-off times, and another D2D.
