That main event will have to be watched again. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel about it. Where does it leave Punk? Are we going to have to sit through truly awful Triple H vs Nash matches now?

Oh and why have they scheduled a PPV in two weeks? Surely we're just going to get pretty much the same card again as there isn't time to build anything.

The part in bold are my thoughts exactly. Basically, all this change Punk has been campaigning for just hasn't happened. Before MITB, Punk hated the fact that Cena was always on top, he hated Vince McMahon and his "Muscle Man" fetish. Fast forward 3 months, Cena is still champion, Punk still hates the (new) C.O.O and will now probably start feuding with Miz/Truth, well away from the main event/title picture.

That was a pretty standard PPV with an almost TNA bad main event. I have not seen such an awfully booked main event for a while in WWE. OK, so maybe it was deliberately meant to look like a car crash in order for the board to bring in an enforcer of some sort further down the line but really? Miz and Truth? Johnny Ace on the phone at ringside, Nash appears, referee is stopped from counting HHH?

Doesn't make any sense. Even if Vince/Steph is backing Laurainitis ro take over from HHH surely the board of directors would just bring someone else in? Or are we meant to forget about that fact?

And for such a personal match, it lacked emotion, passion and the point of it was lost in the chaos. Punk loses to a semi-retired wrestler doesn't progress his character at all.

I've watched the match again this morning and it was simply horrible.

The Miz: "Hey Truth, how come you came out to help me make Triple H lose his job, but two minutes later broke up a CM Punk pinfall attempt?"

R-Truth: "Umm...it was the spidas fault! They conspired!"

That one seemed obvious. Punk had just kicked Truth's arse out of the ring. Plus Truth is mental.

Kelly Kelly: "Congrats on your win last night John."

John Cena: "You too, Kelly. And may I say, you're like the John Cena of the Divas division. Well done. Great stuff."

One of my favourite results. I actually hate Kelly Kelly for being so shite, but her winning the match was good because of who it upsets. Same for Cena. I feel nothing about his 50th title win, same as everytime Edge won it since 2008, but the amount of "THEY RUINED PUNK'S REIGN AT SUMMERSLAM FOR THIS?" posts on the Internet make it all worthwhile.

That main event was great. Triple H had to win otherwise the COO thing would be fucked. But Punk didn't look inferior at all, and it was edge of seat stuff by the end.

HHH WON'T EVEN SELL FOR RING RUST!!!. I love him, 7 month absence, he just comes back, boom, another MOTYC. That had fucking everything, great wrestling, twists, turns, and Big Daddy fucking Cool.

I still can't believe the POP when Henry won, the crowd went ballistic, good match that led to it, too. That's the most dominant a heel's looked in a loooong time. Cena vs Del Rio was great as well, loved the UFC style-powerbomb out of the armbar.

There was some stuff that pissed me off (you'll never guess who), but when the top three matches deliver like that, I can't complain. It helps that it was on Sky Sports as well.

Really looking forward to Raw.

I thought that was a brilliant PPV, really enjoyed it. The crowd were into all of it big time except Rhodes/DiBiase. I enjoyed all of it except for that match, it wasn't terrible or anything, it just felt like they were there for the sake of it. And I wasn't looking on purpose or anything (honest), but Cody Rhodes seemed to be really enjoying his match. (Cues for shit joke) I thought for a second the show was being held in the The First Viagra Center. But moving on, that main event was terrific. I loved every second of it. The Tag Team match was great as well, all 4 came out of it looking good (Air Boom's matching colours did help). I was pleased for Mark Henry as well, the crowd seemed to love it.

Tonight on Raw...

.....

The Miz: "Hey Truth, how come you came out to help me make Triple H lose his job, but two minutes later broke up a CM Punk pinfall attempt?"

R-Truth: "Umm...it was the spidas fault! They conspired!"

Probably.

I think Laurinatis was meant to break that pin and Truth just saved the spot, not ideal I know.

Yeah, when both Kelly and Cena won their matches I just laughed, out loud. Through all the years of Cena winning the title when they "should" be trying to help elevate the opposition, this latest time just made me laugh more than before when I'd be quite irked. It's gone past any anger stage or surprising stage, it's now just funny they still get away with it. The crowd were good for Del Rio/Cena.

I also laughed a lot during the main event, it was just nuts and Michael Cole not being able to speak made it even better - the whole thing was just Booker T going "WHUT DA HEY-ALL?!!!" which I love. The whole thing just slightly reminded me of crap nonsensical booking but the Raw main event scene at the mo is built in such a way that I think they meant it to be a clusterfuck. Quite amusing that the Nash interference didn't really solve anything at all.

Did you even watch the match? Ace was the one who at that moment sent the ref in to count the pin!

Well theres that you are right, I was grasping at nothing there really, I dont know why the pin was broken, would have made more sense for Hunter to have got his foot on the ropes I guess.

I actually thought Kelly Kelly was pretty good last night, and she's one of the few divas who I can stand. The match with Beth Phoenix actually felt like a big match thanks to the crowd, and the match itself was actually pretty good as well.

I was glad to see Alberto Del Rio drop the title. I'm a fan of him as a wrestler, but as a character he has been doing my head in. That match was quite good as well. The timing was great, as it always is with a Cena main event. That guy has had more really good - great matches on PPV than anyone else in the last few years I reckon.

HHH WON'T EVEN SELL FOR RING RUST!!!. I love him, 7 month absence, he just comes back, boom, another MOTYC. That had fucking everything, great wrestling, twists, turns, and Big Daddy fucking Cool.

I think it was heading into MOTYC territory untill all of the run ins started. The Truth/Miz run ins just seemed awkward as fuck and dragged the match down a few notches. Nash coming in was good though and turned things around albeit a bit late. The match before the run ins was GREAT fun, and it really felt like a very personal brawl. I was thinking that it was what Orton/HHH COULD have been, and the most heated brawl since HBK/Jericho at Unforgiven 2006. It left me wanting to see more between them.

My match of the night was Air Boom vs. Awesome Truth. The crowd was well into it, Air Boom brought the double teams and Awesome Truth just brought general goodness to things. The action all the way through the match was non-stop and brilliant, and exactly the sort of match which is going to help to ease people back into the idea of a proper tag team division again.

Low point for me was Dibiase vs. Rhodes. I've grown to like Cody Rhodes, but Dibiase is fucking abysmal.

Was delighted that Mark Henry got a 100% clean victory over Randy Orton. Thought that match went a bit long, but I suppose that's a minor point.

The four way was actually very good as I thought it might be. The Vickie/Swagger/Ziggler stuff was threatening to overwhelm the rest of the match, but it was then left to the four guys to provide us with a fun match. I TOTALLY bought the Riley nearfall with the Implant DDT as well.

I thought the PPV was stunning.

I dont know why the pin was broken

Because CM Punk had just given Truth a battering out of the ring.

True but that conflicted with the task in hand didnt it, I suppose it tied in with the personalities of the characters, lashing out in the moment was more important then the overall goal much like in the tag match where Miz attacked the ref and got dqed even though it cost them the tag team titles.

The main event really was a clusterfuck. It's a good strategy to create more questions than answers but this really created massive confusion more than anything else and could have been completely shit on by the live crowd. However, I do think that a CM Punk-Triple H alliance could really be something that cements Punk as a more rounded babyface opposed to the tweener character which is being ill received in some cities across the US. I'm excited for what this holds which is the third ppv main event in a row since MITB which has got me eager to tune in to Raw.
