Why would he have to drop the comedy? He could be pushed as a babyface version of Kurt Angle's 2000 character. As long as you present them as a threat the comedy stuff can work. Â I'd say the response he got when he re-appeared at the end of the Royal Rumble against Del Rio is enough to at least warrant the experiment. In fact, if Del Rio is holding the belt when it comes around, I think he'd be a perfect Royal Rumble title challenger. If the fans got behind him, which they do whenever he does anything, they might make a new part-time main eventer for themselves. Â I like Santino.
