!! "The Mexican Sensation" TO FACE AN OLD SCHOOL CHALLENGE ON SEPTEMBER 16TH !!

Let's see how it came about...

PPW CHAMPION "THE MEXICAN SENSATION" EL LIGERO MAKES A SUCCESSFUL RETURN ON AUGUST 12TH

PPW Champion "The Mexican Sensation" El Ligero made a successful return from injury on August 12th by retaining his PPW Championship against "The Prodigy" Paul Malen, the man who put him out of action back in June.

Malen, competing in his second match of the night, was pumped up and (having already retired the "Wonderkid" Jonny Storm earlier on in the evening!) was determined that this was going to be his night. The "Mexican Sensation" however was equally determined to avenge the assault at the hands of "The Prodigy" two months earlier and, after all looked lost for the still injured champion, El Ligero pulled a superkick out of nowhere and rolled into a jack knife cover to pin up an amazing win from the jaws of defeat, proving why his is the PPW Champion.

After the match, Keith Myatt issued a challenge to the PPW Champion, challenging him to compete in a Classic World of Sport rules match for the PPW Championship on September 16th. El Ligero accepted and the match was made!

!! HEAVYWEIGHTS OF PPW CLASH OVER NUMBER 1 SPOT !!

The Heavyweights of PPW will clash on September 16th at the West Bromwich Labour Club, over the right to be called Number 1 Contender to the PPW Championship, when the "The Prodigy" Paul Malen steps into the ring with "Mr World of Sport" James Mason in a classic "World of Sport Rules" Match.

"The Prodigy" got in the face of PPW Head Promoter Chris Liston at the last event in August, asking for one last match with PPW Champion El Ligero. However, PPW Management also felt that James Mason also deserved an opportunity, following his impressive victory over Brandon Thomas last month, so a "World of Sport" Number 1 Contender's Match was signed for September 16th.

!! THE LIVERPOOL LADS MAKE THEIR WEST BROM DEBUT !!

PPW Management this week announced the final World of Sport Rules Match for this Friday's "LIKE IT USED TO BE" event in West Bromwich and it will feature none other than "The Liverpools Lads" Frankie Sloan and Robbie Brookside in tag team action! Both men have an amazing pedigree in the world of wrestling, having featured on both WWE and TNA programming as well has holding Championships all over the world, Brookside being a former World Champion. Sloan and Brookside currently compete across the UK as "The Liverpool Lads" and are widely regarded as the most technically gifted tag team in the UK today!

The opponents for "The Liverpool Lads" are the new combo of PPW regular Scott Maverick and his new partner Max Mayhem. Maverick has been a revelation in PPW this year and the high quality of his performances were rewarded earlier in the year with a match against Combat Zone Wrestling's American star Drew Gulak. The appearance of Max Mayhem on Friday night will be a sneak peak into the future, as we see the PPW debut of one Evolution League Stars of 2012! Having just broke into the main roster of Scotland's PBW Wrestling, Mayhem is definitely one to watch over the next 18 months!

!! JONESTOWN STREETFIGHT FOR THE LUSCIOUS ONE !!

v4o20w.jpg

After being forced by, Evolution League rivals, Matt Pedin and "The Natural" Nate Colt to kiss the foot of Hometown Boy, Lucian L. Jones last month; "Luscious" Lucas Black took the uncharacteristic step of challenging Jones to a match on September 16th to exact some form of revenge! ...and of course "The Sultan of Swagga" was only too quick to accept!!

However, in a break from the traditional World of Sport theme running through the event this Friday in West Brom, this match will be fought under "The King of Bling's" speciality match rules - a JONESTOWN STREETFIGHT!! With Black looking to exact some revenge and the Hometown Boy always more than happy to put some B**ches in Stiches, this match has all the ingredients to be an absolute barn stormer!!

!! SEPT 16TH: WEST BROMWICH: TEACHER v PUPIL !!

On the back of his unprecedented 9-Point Evolution League haul in one night on July 15th, Steven Xavier was keen to keep the momentum going and go from strength in his PPW career, by beating fellow Evolution League leader "Luscious" Lucas Black and becoming the outright leader of the Evolution League. However, despite numerous pleas from Xavier, Black remains unwilling to move the Black v Xavier fixture from its scheduled date of December 9th 2011.

With that in mind, a frustrated Xavier put his Evolution League ambitions on the back burner and issued a new challenge to continue to prove himself to the PPW audience! ...and, of course, the arrogant Kid Fite was quick to accept!! Will Steven Xavier be able to unlock the unlimited potential he has shown throughout his time in PPW? Or will the cocky Kid Fite's experience prevail on September 16th?

!! "TEXTBOOK CHALLENGE" RETURNING ON SEPT 16TH !!

As soon as he heard that September 16th's "LIKE IT USED TO BE" was going to be based around Old School British Wrestling, "Textbook" Dave Breaks was knocking down the door of the PPW offices, demanding that there should be a "Textbook Challenge" on the show.

Breaks, who has been telling everyone who'll listen (and a lot that don't) that he is the best thing to grace the British ring since "The Man of 1000 Holds" Johnny Saint, believes that by making a big impact on PPW's "LIKE IT USED TO BE" event, he can go a long way to prove that he is the future of British Wrestling.

Let's see what happens on September 16th...

He genuinely doesn't lol, I'm good at keeping these things under wraps till the last second. Even from Karl ;)

There will be two matches announced this week. First of which will be this revealed this evening :)

Can you confirm or deny that James Mason and Johnny Saint will be at this show?

Look forward to the announcement.
