King Pitcos Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Name the one hundred and six champions then, Vito.
Vito Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Relax. It was just a misunderstanding. Â I thought we were talking about the number of times the title had changed hands, not the number of unique champions. In my defense though that link you posted, the one where I got my 106 number, doesn't list the number of champions either.
The King of Old School Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Reading the opening post, i thought it was pretty obvious what was being talked about.
Tommy Atkins Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I started watching in 1990 at which point there had only been 10 champions. And only 2 of them had held it more than once. No wonder nobody cares about championships anymore when someone like Edge is a 11 time World Champion.
Paid Members PunkStep Posted August 10, 2011 Paid Members Posted August 10, 2011 According to wiki HHH's very first reign was the 50th title change. Unbelievable. That was only 12 years ago. Since then, it has more than doubled.
freaky Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 The WWF Title changed hands more times in the first nine months of 1999 than in the title's first twenty years of its existence.
V1mark Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Not as bad as the WCW Title ... especially during 2000
Dr Reefer Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Quite a remarkable number of recent champions when you consider that Bruno Sammartino held the title for 11 years in 2 reigns and Hogan held the belt for huge swathes of the 80's. There must be a fair few men who held the belt less than a day I reckon. Â How many 1 night reigns have their been?

How long did Backlund's last reign last?
Dr Pepper Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 How long did Backlund's last reign last? Three days.

Cobra1000 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 was chris jerichos phantom fast count win over triple h ever recognised as a reign? Â nope, don't think so.
diamond_dust Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Kurt Angle held the belt for 1 night then dropped it to Austin on Raw in the Invasion when Regal turned.
Big Rob Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Kurt Angle held the belt for 1 night then dropped it to Austin on Raw in the Invasion when Regal turned. More like two or three weeks.
diamond_dust Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 My bad. Was convinced it was the next night when he dropped the title back to Austin.
