Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 8, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted August 8, 2011 I've not watched WWE properly for ages and I've been a tad surprised to read all the praise Masters is getting on here lately. He seemed decent back then but is he that good now? I remember really enjoying his match with Shawn Michaels on a 2005 PPV but apart from that nowt else springs to mind that I really liked of him. But like I said I haven't been following. Â Anyone recommend me some post-2005 Masters? I wanna see what the fuss is about
Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted August 8, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted August 8, 2011 Do not rate him, has nothing different to offer. I'm very suprised that because a few people on here say how good he is that everyone else jumps on the bandwagon. T Â Bollocks, you don't know owt. Why does everyone have to have something different to offer? He offers a great look and ability (nowadays).
Cousin Jim Bob
I never watch Superstars so its thanks to people here and other forums like DVDVR pointing out the great matches Masters was having. Â I know TNA are pretty good at fucking up but they do like ex WWE guys and Chris can work. He could drag the likes of Anderson to good matches and tear the house down with the likes of Angles, Bully Ray, AJ etc. Â Masters should be on tv and getting a decent push. Hope he does not disappear off into the wilderness.
The Curious Orange
He'd been an instant upgrade for TNA on Matt Morgan if they brought him in and put him in his place. The Masterpiece and Blueprint characters are pretty similar but you'd actually get a good PPV match at the end of it with Masters.

But like I said I haven't been following. Anyone recommend me some post-2005 Masters? I wanna see what the fuss is about   As already mentioned somewhere, Masters put in a good performance in the NYR 06 Elimination Chamber. He had some fun matches with Super Crazy towards the end of his first run. There was also a really good 4-way for the I.C belt on Raw against Jeff Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, and Super Crazy.   Post comeback there's a lot more to choose from, I'd say these are the essentials, all from Superstars..  Vs Dolph Ziggler. May 2010, Vs Jack Swagger. May 2010 Vs. Drew Mcintyre. August 2010, and May 2011 Vs Tyler Reeks. October 2010 (They had a lot of other good/great ones as well, but that stands out the most)    There's also the Smackdown matches where he's on the receiving end of a squashing. One by Kane, and at least one with Drew Mcintyre. Insanely good for a 2/3 minute match.   I might try to do a post with links later.

Paid Members CleetusVanDamme Posted August 8, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted August 8, 2011 Ok. I couldn't find all the matches I wanted, but I think these give a good indication what he's capable of. Most are sub-10 minutes so are pretty easy to sit through, and give a chance for those wondering what the big deal is.   I'm glad to have put these all in one place, I'm going to have fun going through them all again..   CVD (kind of) Presents: The Best Of Chris Masters. 0 Disc Set   Early Potential  Chris Masters vs Shawn Michaels, Unforgiven 2005. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xc12bf_ch...haels-1-2_sport http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xc12gk_ch...haels-2-2_sport  Chris Masters and Carlito vs Ric Flair and the returning HHH, the night after Unforgiven 2005. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzQlAR5bMJI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzQlAR5bMJI  Chris Masters vs John Cena vs Kurt Angle, Submission Match, Raw 2005.  Chris Masters vs Jeff Hardy vs Super Crazy vs Shelton Benjamin, Raw 2006.  Chris Masters vs Johnny Nitro vs Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton vs Super Crazy vs Carlito, Raw 2006. Paid Members Green Posted August 9, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted August 9, 2011 Try to track down his match against Carlito one year at Backlash too. Horribly under-rated heel vs. heel match.
Paid Members CleetusVanDamme Posted August 9, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted August 9, 2011 Try to track down his match against Carlito one year at Backlash too. Horribly under-rated heel vs. heel match. Â Â Aye. That was one of the ones I was going to post, but couldn't find a streaming or a download link. For a modern day WWE midcard match it has a pretty big build too!, at least a month and a half in the making. Â Â I really like that whole show. The triple threat main event's one of my favourite matches that year, easily. Raw seemed to be putting out tremendous single brand ppv's at every time of asking during that period, every one from Vengeance in 05, right through to the next years one with the return of DX are all cracking shows. Paid Members CleetusVanDamme Posted August 10, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted August 10, 2011 Something I just thought of. Would Chris be able to use the ""Masters" name now that he's left?. Obviously won't affect his talent or anything, but it'd hurt him a little I think,. Chris Masters is a quality name!. Â Â Â Although in saying that, "The Masterpiece Chris Mordetzky" doesn't sound too bad, especially if he can still use the "Masterlock".
King Pitcos
He might not be able to use Masterpiece, either. He could always Warrior his name to Chris Masters, though.
