Â I only stated following Pride in mid 2005 so this helped me realise what a big deal Sakuraba, Frye and others were. It is forgotten how much better Pride was at times in comparision to the UFC, espicially in the Heavyweight division from 2003 until 2006. Â It had more depth in the 205 lbs weight class as well. From 2001 - 2006, Pride was the best MMA company going in my book. 2003 and 2004 it wasnt even close, TUF and the Liddel/Couture trilogy was the turning point.
