06.08.2011 - !! The Prodigy" PAUL MALEN speaks out on the topics of "Wonderkid" Jonny Storm, PPW Champion El Ligero and dominanting the future of PPW !!

In what already promises to be a busy weekend of updates for PPW fans, including the upcoming revelation of who will meet Lord Graham Thomas III in the Kiss My Foot Open Challenge on August 12th in West Bromwich AND the announcement of the final match for the same date, between two monsters of pro-wrestling, PPW management received an unexpected facebook message from "The Prodigy" Paul Malen. The message was a link to this video message for "Wonderkid" Jonny Storm and PPW Champion El Ligero...

Message also available on www.phoenixprowrestling.co.uk

Here's how the match came about (taken from www.phoenixprowrestling.co.uk):

"The Prodigy" Paul Malen continued to frustrate Jonny Storm and PPW fans alike on July 15th, when his blatent disregard for the rules resulted in PPW Senior Offical Russ Burt calling time early on the Number 1 Contender's Match for El Ligero's PPW Championship. After some exciting back and forth action in the early going, Malen soon resorted to his usual underhanded ways and a frustrated Jonny Storm - who could see yet another shot at PPW Championship success slipping away before his very eyes - soon began to vent that frustration out on Burt and, having been continually manhandled by both competitors, Burt was left with no other choice but to call the match a Double DQ. After delivering a post match 619 to Malen, Storm quickly got on the mic and told Malen that their issue needed to be resolved once and for all, challenging "The Prodigy" to a No-DQ Lumberjack Match on August 12th. Equally keen to see the back of the "Wonderkid", Malen swiftly accepted the challenge, but only after adding a stipulation of his own - LOSER LEAVES PPW!! Will this be the last time PPW fans see the "Wonderkid" at the West Bromwich Labour Club? Or will Paul Malen finally get his comeuppance?

PPW CHAMPION "THE MEXICAN SENSATION" EL LIGERO RETURNS - AUGUST 12TH!!!

To make August 12th even more interesting, PPW Management have revealed that the winner of the Lumberjack Match, whether it be Paul Malen or Jonny Storm, will meet PPW Champion on the very same night!!

!! HUGE HEAVYWEIGHT CLASH SIGNED FOR AUG 12TH !!

Regarded by many as the last remaining echo of the truly great World of Sport Era of British Wrestling, James Mason is undoubtedly one of the finest technicians to grace the British ring over the past two decades. However PPW Management have not by any stretch of the imagination given Mason a warm up match when he makes his PPW debut on August 12th at the West Bromwich Labour Club against "The Messiah" Brandon Thomas.

Thomas has been at the top of the West Midland's wrestling scene for many years and was a mainstay in the original FWA as part of The Firm. The high point of his career so far came on July 16th of this year when he stepped into the ring with America's Davey Richards to compete for the ROH World Heavyweight Championship. After far more than holding his own against the talented American, Thomas has undoubtedly earned his place in the heavyweight ranks at PPW and a win over James Mason could push him towards a shot at the PPW Championship.

!!! HOMETOWN HERO RETURNS TO ACCEPT KISS MY FOOT CHALLENGE !!!

2wqaf0h.jpg

The talk amongst PPW fans all week has been regarding the identity of the 2 mystery stars who had accepted Lord Graham Thomas III's Kiss My Foot Open Challenge, and more specifically which of the two would PPW Management put into the match on August 12th.

Well, first things first, PPW Management can confirm that they could not pick between the two stars, who both offered plenty of key qualities that would make for a fantastic match-up on August 12th, and were left with no other option than to sign a Three Way Kiss My Foot Match fo this Friday's big event!!

The first challenger for Lord Graham Thomas III is none other than Evolution League co-leader "Luscious" Lucas Black. Not usually one to accept a challenge of his own free will, Black has told Chris that he wants to prove that his position at the top of the league is no fluke, by making one of the veterans of PPW kiss his luscious, shiny black boot!!

The second challenger is the returning Hometown Boy; "The King of Bling", "The Sultan of Swagga", "The Duke of Jonestown", "His Highness of Flyness", West Bromwich's very own Lucian L. Jones!! Not seen in PPW since emerging victorious in PPW's first ever match on Dec 14th 2009, Lucian L. Jones told Chris that he has been biding his time to make his comeback at just the right time and, having seen how the West Bromwich fans have been treated by Thomas and Black over the past few months, Jones felt that August 12th is the ideal time to once again "put some b*tches in stitches!!".

This match has all the ingredients to steal what is already a very loaded card, once again making August 12th a PPW Event that is not to be missed!!

!! THE FUTURE IS PPW !!

MK McKinnan is making a big impression on the Midland's wrestling scene, so it was only a matter of time before he got his chance in the PPW ring. Known for his high flying prowess, MK will have his work cut out in what should be a highly entertaining contest on August 12th with one of PPW's premier high flyers "Adrenaline" Danny Chase.

!! TWO PPW MONSTERS TO CLASH ON AUGUST 12TH !!

Last month saw the PPW debut of Viken, the vampire - and what an impressive debut it was!! Darkness fell over West Bromwich and out of the shadows emerged a creature the likes of which PPW fans had never seen before!! Viken soon took to brawling with resident PPW monster, "Hellraiser" Brian Wright and the two quickly brawled their way backstage, where the battle did not stop.

Not happy that this feud has reached it's natural conclusion, PPW Management were quick to sign what promises to be an explosive singles clash for August 12th!!

!! FAN FAVOURITES TO CLASH IN THE EVOLUTION LEAGUE !!

Both Matt Pedin and "The Natural" Nate Colt are huge fan favourites with the PPW crowd, so it will be interesting to see who can capitalise on that support on August 12th and edge 3 points nearer to the top of the Evolution League table!!

Always nice to see more fellow UKFF'ers going to PPW  Us regulars (I think I can be classed as that now  ) could do with a few more like minded fellows to balance out the kids and older generations, not that those two groups don't provide an excellent atmosphere, in different ways of course  Just nice to see people with similar tastes there.

Anyway I'll be there again all being well.

Not usually one for "announcements of upcoming announcements" but thought I'd just put it out there that we are very close to signing deals with an amazing 5 high quality PPW debutants for the August 12th show!

The first of these debutants will be revealed over the weekend as PPW unveils a double header of Cruiserweight contests set for August 12th!

The fact of there being a No-DQ Lumberjack Number One Contenders match between, Jonny Storm and Paul Malen and the fact that whoever wins that faces, El Ligero on the same night it already sounds like one not to miss in my opinion.
