Barley Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Madden was like a drunk uncle at a family get together. He wouldn't keep his trap shut for five minutes but he occasionally came out with a good one liner. Â This was fucking great - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSY_iX8_Bgc
Paid Members WWFChilli Posted July 20, 2011 Paid Members Posted July 20, 2011 I informed big tone of his following thanks to Ian and his godlike awesomeness and recieved this reply. Â Thanks very much for that. Seems the older I get, the more I hear from great fans like you. Thanks again... Â Tony Skeeavone is the mack fucking daddy... love him.
Baz Windham Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 I've had one of those moments where something isn't quite how you remember it.  On the back of this thread I looked on YouTube for the Summerslam 89 main event to hear what I thought was one of my earliest memories of wrestling and one i've mentioned a few times on here, Schivaone screeching "Sherri's got the purse!" but from what i've seen on YouTube this doesn't happen.  He says "He's got the purse" when Hogan picks it up and then screeches "He picked him up", I guess the two memories of hearing a commentator screeching and a purse as a weapon have merged. Still, top commentaty that left me with a lasting memory, albeit the wrong one  I've started watching the full event on dvd too last night, great opener, rotten Dusty/HTM match, guitar shot aside.

He screams "ELIZABETHS GOT THE PURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSE!" when Liz smashes her in the face with it. Its been cut out of recent WWE versions. Look on the video I posted earlier. He says it on there.
Baz Windham Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Is that after the match before they cut her hair? Because on the vid you posted it's edited and that's the one I watched. Â EDIT - Just checked the tagged classic dvd, it's on there! It is when Liz has it he screeches but also sounds angry and demented. Childhood memory saved even if it was a different broad with the purse.
Loki Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 See, THIS is the sort of important discussion that the UKFF should be all about.
Paid Members WWFChilli Posted July 21, 2011 Paid Members Posted July 21, 2011 What is Big Tone's favourite match he ever called? Chilli_Dog went to find out. Â The one that stands out is Hogan VS Big Boss man in '89. It was my first time at Madison Square Garden. It was sold out. Â Even Big Tone would like to see Bossman back seeemingly.

BiffingtonClyro Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Maybe Tony and Bossman could do a double return at the rumble next year! Â Yeah, and maybe Owen Hart could return to face Sting in a Scaffold match.
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted July 21, 2011 Author Paid Members Posted July 21, 2011 Yeah, and maybe Owen Hart could return to face Sting in a Scaffold match. Dont be ridiculous.

Paid Members Maverick Posted July 21, 2011 Paid Members Posted July 21, 2011 Iv'e seen him get pissed off at people who ask him too many questions, assumes there gonna publish them on the dirtsheets. He seems to enjoy the fans tweeting him though which goes against the whole he hates wrestling thing now.
Richie Freebird Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 See, THIS is the sort of important discussion that the UKFF should be all about. Â For once Loki man, I can say that I fully agree with you.
