I like how there is a qualifying match that guarrantees a spot in the King of Cruisers match at Maximum Impact. It makes the match feel more important if people are that dedecated to be there that they are willing to fight to get in it.

Also a small plug for PBW on Facebook but the page is under 10 likes from hitting the big 2000. Give them a like and maybe PBW management may announce another match soon?! PBW ON FACEBOOK

With PBW due to return to the Alloa Town Hall in just over 3 weeks time things have been heating up at the PBW office.

No less than 3 challenges have came in for BT Gunns heavyweight title with all 3 challenges coming from different countries. After beating Val Kabious this past June to retain his PBW title, BT Gunn is a man not short on confidence. He has accepted all 3 challenges and has told pbwwrestling.com that he will beat all 3 men by the end of the year and prove to the PBW fans he is a fighting champion. At Alloa BT Gunn will face challenger number 1. This man is no stranger to BT Gunn and no stranger to the main event scene in PBW. He has came close to beating both Lionheart and Wolfgang for the title but allways just missed out. He has told pbwwrestling.com that 'the third time will be a charm'. The main event on September 10th will be BT Gunn defending his PBW title against Red Lightning.

MCKAY OUT FOR REVENGE

'Old Skool' Colin Mckay has bombarded the office with calls and emails complaining about the outcome of his match with Blaze & Rampage at Breaking Limits 6 this pasy April. PBW management have since told Mckay that Red Lightning and himself were beat fair and square but will grant him another match with the young up and coming tag team. With Red Lightning though already signed to wrestle BT Gunn for the title, Mckay has been forced to find another partner which he has. On September 10th at the Alloa Town Hall it will be

'With Premier British Wrestling set to return to Alloa Town Hall this Saturday evening we can now announce that a sixth and final match has been added to the card that will see Wolfgang and Lionheart defend their tag team titles against TJ Rage and Scott Maverick who will be managed by Charles Boddington. Few can argue the positive effect Boddington has had on TJ Rage in recent months with Rage picking up a victory over TNA star Douglas Williams just this past June in Dumbarton. Add to the mix Scott Maverick who in his debut year has wrestled across Scotland, England and Denmark even coming up against CZW star Drew Gulak in England 2 months ago and we have two men more than capable of pulling of the upset in Alloa this Saturday.

Wolfgang and Lionheart and said to be super confident heading into Alloa with Lionheart winning the Danish Pro Wrestling heavyweight title this past weekend on what was his first match back after being out injured for the summer. The champions have promised to turn on the style for the loyal fans in Alloa and leave Alloa Town Hall this Saturday still PBW tag team champions.

Also added to the card is a slight change to our King Of Crusiers qualifying match. A change that we are sure PBW fans will very much agree with as masked Scottish star Falcon has now been added to the match and will have the chance to compete for a spot on King Of Crusiers 2011 in October.

The full card for this Saturdays show in Alloa is as follows

PBW HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH - BT Gunn© vs Red Lightning

PBW TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH - Lionheart & Wolfgang© vs Scott Maverick & TJ Rage with Charles Boddington

UEWA CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE MATCH - Sean South© vs Liam Thomson with Carmel

KING OF CRUSIERS 2011 QUALIFYING MATCH - Danny Steel vs Falcon vs Noam Dar vs Stevie Xavier vs Max Mayhem

'Unstoppbale' Andy Wild vs 'The Lightning Kid' Mark Andrews

Blaze & Rampage vs 'Old Skool' Colin Mckay & Jack Jester

Results & Thoughts

PBW Tag Team Championship

Lionheart & Wolfgang def TJ Rage & Scott Maverick w/Charles Boddington (LH ov SM & WG ov TJ)

Pre-Match Bod claims L'Heart was not 100% after the ankle injury & would target him

The match was a decent opener

Andy Wild def "Lightning Kid" Mark Andrews

Good enjoyable match between the 2

UEWA Crusierweight Championship

Sean South def Liam Thompson w/Carmel

Solid Match

King of Cruisers 2011 Qualifier - 5 Man Match

Stevie Xavier def Max Mayhem, Noam Dar, Danny Steel & Falcon (Danny Steel was pinned)

A fun 5 way (I was impressed with Danny Steel )

Colin McKay & Jack Jester def Blaze N' Rampage

Decent match with an impressive Rampage dive & towards the end a ref bump happened (that Sri failed to sell due to Laughter) & Red Lightning interfered to help out Colin

Post Match Red committed to be in Colin's Corner & claimed he will win the PBW title

PBW Heavyweight Championship

BT Gunn def Red Lightning

Another quality BT Gunn main event with Red's antics earlier biting him in the arse as Blaze N' Rampage gained Revenge

All in all a enjoyable show

Last night PBW once again returned to the Alloa Town Hall for an action packed night of wrestling and once again our great fans in Alloa came out in force to cheer for their favourite PBW stars. Full results were as follows

Attendance - 190

Ring announcer - Tom Aitken

Referee - Sri Hari

Lionheart & Wolfgang bt Scott Maverick & TJ Rage with Charles Boddington to retain the PBW Tag Team titles

'Unstoppable' Andy Wild bt 'The Lightning Kid' Mark Andrews

Sean South bt Liam Thomson with Carmel to retain the UEWA cruiserweight title

Stevie Xavier bt Danny Steel, Noam Dar, Max Mayhem and Falcon to qualify for the 2011 King Of Cruisers match.

Jack Jester & 'Old Skool' Colin Mckay bt Blaze & Rampage

BT Gunn bt Red Lightning to retain the PBW Heavyweight title

Lionheart & Wolfgang once again turn on the style with another strong defence although TJ Rage and impessive newcomer Scott Maverick left their mark in Alloa with a very aggressive style that was encouraged from the word go by manager Charles Boddington. Boddington himself also made it clear he is unhappy with Andy Wild and doesnt understand why Wild appears to no longer want Boddington in his corner. With Wild set to face Prince Devitt at Maximum Impact 2011 in what will be his biggest match to date surely this is not a good time to have tension with current/former manager Charles Boddington.

Speaking of Maximum Impact, a huge congradulations to Stevie Xavier who saw off 4 other top crusierweights to qualify for King Of Crusiers 2011. Xavier is very highly rated by PBW management and is regarded already as one of the top flyers in Scotland at only 19 years old. It is rumoured that PBW management have signed some of the very best cruiserweights in Europe to appear in this years King Of Crusiers match. This will be without a doubt Xaviers biggest opportunity yet.

After 4 fantastic matches things werent going to slow down for a second as we got our second tag team contest underway. As the match progressed at such an intense speed it was no surprise when the referee got caught a little to close to the action and got knocked out for nearly a full minute. During this time Red Lightning ran down to give the team of Jester and Mckay the advantage resulting in a loss for the ever popular Blaze and Rampage. Lightning went on to say that he along with Jester thinks its 'disgusting' the lack of respect shown to Mckay by the young team especially since he played such a massive part in their training. This angered many fans in attendance as they feel that Mckay brought all this on himself due to a number of attacks on SPWA graduates in recent months. Many fans and wrestlers alike believe Mckay is jealous of the success of his young students and that is the sole reason for attacks which have saw the like of Davey Blaze and Kay Lee Ray being put through tables by Mckay himself.

Lightnings party was to be short lived though as during the main event a distracted referee who was trying to remove the title belt from the ring gave Blaze and Rampage the opportunity to run through the crowd and hit Lightning with a double Muscle Buster suplex leading to an popular victory for BT Gunn.

PBW managment have yet to hear from a livid Red Lightning although we dont expect this is the last of this situation.

In finishing we would just like to thank all our great fans again for supporting us as we continue to grow. Also a huge thanks to the Alloa Advertiser for the coverage leading into the show.

Pictures coming soon. Stay tuned to pbwwrestling.com'
