In front of a sold out crowd (with people being turned away)

Full results:

Los Amigos (El Ligero & Dara Diablo) bt Bam Bam Barton & SC Supreme to advance to the semi finals. The two mexicans made a joint entrance on their debut as a tag team. Diablo came out wearing 'a cape' to match his new best friend (which was in fact nothing more than a Forever Friends towel). It seemed he had also got his hands on El Ligero's entrance video and music as the opening riff was not only finished with the cry of El Ligero, but also Dara's voice proclaiming 'Diablo' too. The entrance video was also shoddily cut off with image of Diablo pasted on top.

Diablo tried, in vain, to impress his reluctant partner including a chop contest with the notoriously vicious Supreme. He took a big beating from the two powerhouses. He managed to make the tag to Ligero who singlehandledy took control of the match. A turning point came when both Barton & Supreme fell onto the second rope in the world famous 619 position as Ligero considered it. But Diablo stopped him and said he would do it and he nailed it! The sellout crowd went crazy for their new fan favourite. Ligero heaed up top to finish with his pattented frog splash, but again Diablo stopped and said he would take over. He lined up for his moonsault but overshot it and missed Barton. Despairing in a corner, Ligero got attacked by the recovered Supreme. As he set up for a powerbomb Ligero slid down the back and rolled him up for the win! Ligero attempted to make a swift exit but Diablo made him stay and celebrate that Los Amigos had won their debut match!

Matt Myers bt Avian - Before the match Myers gave Avian once last chance and asked him if he believed him that it wasn't him who attacked his brother, Avian said all he knew was that he couldnt trust anyone. The match began at a high tempo and never slowed down. A Matt Myers moonsault off the guardrail left the crowd going crazy. The finish came when Avian went up top for his Shooting Star Press. This was the first time Avian had attempted the move since a mistake doing the move nearly ended his career a few months ago against Joseph Conners. This coupled with the fact that it's been obvious Avian hasn't been focused since the attack of his brother at the start of the year showed as he took his eye off the ball and missed his finisher. This gave Myers the opportunity to hit the shining wizard and in one last bit of a revenge for last month, a huge right hand to the face for the victory.

Following the match, NGW management Mark Criteria made his way out and ordered Myers to pick Avian up as Criteria revealed he knew Myers didn't do it and he knew because he was there, he saw the attack. Avian's natural reaction was to go for Criteria to force him to tell him who, but Criteria refused to tell and said if Avian touched him not only would he not tell him, he'd fire him. Criteria decided he was going to have some fun with it and said he'd tell Avian if he could beat two men on Sunday 7th August at Summer Smash Brawl 4 but as he seems to have alienated his last friend in NGW it looked like he'd be doing it alone. Avian looked at Myers and asked for his support, but Myers gave him the finger and walked off.

Colossus Kennedy bt Stixx by count out. The two monsters finally collided one on one. Stixx continually attempted to be the first man to knock Colosss off his feet including two failed bodyslams attempts. Colossus' agent Richie West tried to interfere and began laying in punches to Stixx on the outside but Kennedy stopped him who declared he wanted to do this on his own. West tied Stixx's chain around the turnbuckle and ordered Colossus to use it and after brief consideration, Colossus tried to but was stopped by Stixx. Cruz Enterprises, obviously under orders from Nathan Cruz, were sent down to try and interfere. Mel Price was thwarted as she swung her back at Stixx and Kev Cash got nothing but a big foot for his trouble.

Stixx got on the second turnbuckle and hit a huge shoulder tackle to knock down the monster for the first time in his 20 months career in NGW! This panicked West as he got up on the apron and tried to swing his gold brief case at Stixx but stixx grabbed it and hit West with it! Stixx then set up for a third bodyslam attempt and nailed it on the 360lbs Colossus. Stixx lined up for the spear as Kennedy made his way to his feet who found the briefcase still laid in the ring and picked it up turned round. Stixx hit the spear but hit the briefcase, this knocked Stixx out and sent him out the ring and he was unable to get back in the ring before the 10 count.

On realising Colossus immediately declared he didn't want to win that way and demanded the match restarted, Stixx did the same but the official order from NGW management was their was no time to restart the match. Cruz Enterprises (West, Price & Cash) celebrated a 'victory' on the stage as the crowd called for the restart. Their monster was still unbeaten. Richie West tried to persuade Colossus this was a good thing but got pushed out of the way as the monster trudged backstage.

Project Ego (Kris Travis & Martin Kirby) bt The Rockstar Spud & CJ Banks to advance to the semi finals. The match started with The Rockstar refusing to wrestle just like he had on his previous two visits to NGW but was eventually tagged in by his parter CJ Banks and goaded into wrestling by Kirby. Kirby imitated Spud's strut which led to the rockstar declaring that now he was pissed off. The match ended with Ego hitting their finisher on CJ Banks to advance in the next round of the tournament to name the first ever NGW tag team champions.

Joey Hayes bt Jack Gallagher - the rematch from 2 months ago certainly didn't disappoint as the two gave it their all. Jack was accompanied by his Team Venum tag team partner, Scott Adams who made his presence known throughout the match. Before the match, it was announced the winner of this match would be the first man entered into the round robin tournament to at Summer Smash Brawl 4 on Sunday 7th August with the winner earning a title shot at the NGW Champion, who ever it may be at the time. Joey Hayes wrapped up the win and put his debut loss to rest with a high cross body for the victory.

'The Showstealer' Nathan Cruz bt Sam Bailey in a street fight to retain the NGW title. The huge match saw both men throw everything at each other including metal, shoes, buckets and lego! Sam Bailey took a suplex onto the entrance ramp but Bailey gave as good as he got as he hit a superplex off the top rope onto a full set of lego! Which left the crowd wincing in sympathised pain. Bailey suffered an ankle injury as he went to hit a bulldog on a steel chair but missed and his own leg onto the chair.

During the match Cruz tied Bailey up in the ropes in a similiar image as to what he had done to Alex Shane exactly 12 months previously. It was then, this huge fued between Bailey & Cruz had began as it was the then newly crowned champion, Bailey who stepped out of the crowd and stopped Cruz from viciously whipping Shane with the belt anymore. Cruz got a leatehr belt, just like he had done againt Shane and with a run up swang the belt, but Bailey got his foot up and gave Cruz a superkick and managed to get himself free.

The finish came as the table was sat up in the ring and Bailey took Cruz up top and attemped his pattened Bailout through the table but Cruz counted and lifted Bailey onto his shoulders and put Bailey through the table with the Showstolen to ge the 1-2-3.

NGW is back on Sunday 7th August with Summer Smash Brawl 4 a part of a double header weekend with DPW just up the road. Read the reviews of this show and don't miss out again!

My new all time favorite image. That must have hurt like a bitch!

This is a great photo -AJB-. Not only because of the action in the ring, But because it was so full you can see people trying to watch from outside the hall!

I'll give you that, I've never seen the Eastmount so packed, I guess they might have to start looking for a bigger venue for there bigger shows. I've said it before but I'd love to see 4th Anniversary Show at Woodford Leisure Centre or dare I say Gemtec Arena. One day ey'
