Fog Dude
The results went into the first post last thing last night, and the table was only upped a few hours ago. Sorry about that, but there's no rush since most of next week's games are on the Sunday anyway. Mercifully I'm not longer second, as Lawz regains that spot by being this round's top scorer, while The Game continues the recent pattern of being the lowest scorer in the same week as incorrectly guessing their D2D match. Again, quite a few of the astonishing seventeen (count 'em!) who rightly disagreed with him actually only went for the draw. The gap at the wrong end remains at 13 points, which may be a bit too much to overhaul with only 2 weeks to go. Few expected Lincoln City to surrender their place in League Two at Sincil Bank, or at least not so meekly. Whether or not Barnet could take advantage at Underhill was also the subject of grave doubts. More fruitful was Bayern's win away to those Sankt Pauli upstarts, guaranteeing virtually everyone a point, but the large margin of victory was beyond even the wildest guesswork. The one-all scoreline in the other German game proved easier to foresee. Closer to home, Sunderland's smash-and-grab raid at the Reebok was most likely to mess up people's cards, while Everton seeing off City and Wigan holding Villa were considered somewhat surprising. Less so Brum's loss in Geordieland, as well as West Ham's failure to beat Blackburn in their relegation tussle. And apart from the aforementioned D2D match and EPL title decider, that just about does it. New - and probably last - set of 10 coming up in a bit then!
