The final scores have been in the first post since they became available and the table was updated early Monday morning. The gap at the top is cut but hbk4life still enjoys a healthy lead, while at the other end sivy is closing in because smp didn't play this week, but even if he's given up, this round's D2D loser and joint lowest scorer ultimo is now only 20 points clear of last place - not quite unassailable from here. Worst scoring honours were shared with joe mills as only 3 participants made into double figures, the best of which was TildeGuy with 12. There was minimal movement, once again around the middle placings.

A narrow majority (10 of a possible 19 other people) disagreed with ultimo to claim their 2 bonuses, but most of those did so by cautiously going for the draw and so scored no further points from the fixture. As for the other matches, home wins at the Hawthorns and, controversially, at Stamford Bridge were useful for three-pointers, while draws at Bloomfield Road and the DW proved generally good for at least a correct result. Elsewhere in Lancashire, Blackburn overcoming Bolton was hard to foresee, while up on Wearside nobody thought Fulham would win quite so easily at the Stadium of Light.

Over in France, St Etienne's draw with Monaco was the most productive result, with nobody quite getting the exact margin of Lille's victory over Arles in a top v bottom clash, and Lyon's reverse in Toulouse catching almost everyone out. Note that I was wrong about the French league ends in my original blurb. Turns out their Cup final is the same day as the English one this season, and Ligue 1 will still be going in 3 weeks' time so it may well appear among the final round's card.

Within the hour you should see a new thread with the final D2D of the season, a last trip to Germany and, given yesterday's results in the Championship meaning that division's all but over*, we'll turn to the tense battle to stay in the Football League instead.

* possible points deduction notwithstanding
