King Pitcos
What a strange trailer. It doesn't really say what it's about or give much of a hook or anything, other than it resembles This is England. Which has me intrigued, it's not what I was expecting at all. andrew "the ref" coyne
Agree with the general vibe so far that actually this looks like it could have potential. But that the trailer, weirdly, didn't really explain what the show was about or give you a reason to watch. It kind of skirted around the fact that this show is about people trying to recapture their passion for British wrestling. Â One thing the trailer did do though was convince me that a British sitcom based on the seedy / embarrasing lowend of the British indy scene actually could produce enough humour / drama to sustain such a series. The premise of middle aged men having a mid life crisis and trying to become wrestlers is a good foundation to build on. Looking forward to it. KingOfMetal
even if this turns out to be a flop, Stephen Graham needed worry about being 'derailed'. He'll always have work coming his way
Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted March 13, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted March 13, 2012 The fat bloke with the beard who's cutting Joe from Royal Family's hair was in Rumble. He's done the double as far as wrestling sitcoms go. He was also Bear Strangler McGee in Red Dwarf. Â I think it looks great. I was expecting some jokey, shit put together offering. Looks well done.
