Ziggler - Has he pissed someone off?

If WWE genuinely like him, I think they'll change the name. Not because it's terrible, but because it has porn connotations and that's not a name or gimmick they'll want connected with the company through its top guys - especially in this PG era. A name change would be a sign that they see him as marketable beyond the obscure midcard, and, at this point, I think Nick Nemeth would be fine. Even if they thought it wasn't interesting enough at the start, the guy is over now and he doesn't need the leg up of an interesting name or gimmick. If he has any shot at achieving bigger things, now is the time to pull the trigger on the name change.

I can't stand the way everyone gets to be world champ these days. Why couldn't he just be a top mid card guy having excellent fueds with the IC and US title on the line?

It seems that if you are a good mid carder these days, you are cut out to be the world champ.

Just shows how weak the current era is compared to past eras.

If WWE was like this 10 - 20 years ago, guys like Tito Santana and Owen Hart would be the world champion. WWE's current era of champions is like WCW in 2000 - 2001 (desperate).

Yeah, but really WWE kind of fucked it up a bit. Swagger should never have been champ, and they pulled the trigger far too early on Sheamus (even if he did alright afterwards). The Miz is decent, but they've only really booked him to look like either a transitional champ, or a "foil" champ (i.e. like JBL - a sketchy champion who holds on to the belt by the skin of his teeth and dodgy means for a long time, to build up for the big face finally taking it off him at Mania or Summerslam). None of the new generation of main eventers look particularly dominant.

I like Ziggler a lot, but when I last saw him he really seemed cut out only for the upper midcard - he didn't seem to have that extra edge that placed him in the main event. Not having seen much WWE recently, I don't know if that's changed at all.

Since the on screen sacking of Dolph Ziggler, I just expected some sort of outcome where he'll show up on Raw and continue his quest for the golden prize. I mean, the matches I've been watching with Edge, all I can see is the guy busting his balls everytime.

If you watch his work ethic, the guy is amazing to watch in my eye and, I was very surprised he'd been pulled from a PPV appearence and Monday Night Raw. Neither of the show's did he appear, and now I'm reading all sorts of speculation that something has gone wrong behind the scenes perhaps? I'm coming up with all sorts of things good and bad for Nemeth. I do like watching this kid do his thing in the wrestling ring, so I'm praying he's either going to come back as per normal, be given a new identity for his real name, or having Kaitlyn coming back in alongside. Surely you can't discount Vickie's involvement at the click of a finger either?

Wellness?? Pretty stupid if it is then.

(OMG just seen The Pope standing next to a fat pig in the middle of a ring on TV!! lol. This guy's one funny dude I see!)

With Vickie "fired" from SmackDown I panic that she has been the Raw GM all along, for shits and giggles.

But then, would that be stupider than it being Hunter, who then gets Nexus to help him end the streak??

I like his name..

But anyway, people have seen this as a punishment while in actuality this has been the biggest push of his career.

The more he loses, the higher up the card he goes.

Loses to Daniel Bryan... wins IC title.

Loses to Kofi Kingston... becomes no.1 contender

Loses to Edge... wins the World title.

He'll be back in a few weeks on Smackdown or he'll get moved to RAW with Vickie possibly, they have been turning up alot there recently anyway.

I think the point that some folk are missing is that you don't take a guy off TV with just five weeks to Mania without good reason and there is no way they are going to rebrand him in such a short space of time.

If you are that means they're treating him like shit. As for moving him to Raw I just don't see where they can use him just yet. It would have been better to add him to the Edge/Del Rio match.

Even though he is now a former World Champion, he got made to look a right little bitch in the Edge "feud".

You're surely not counting that as an official world title reign. I'd say it comes under 'quickly nullified decisions made by soon-to-be-deposed tyrants'. Like when Vince was going to give Kurt Angle the world title after Survivor Series 2001, or that new fitted kitchen Gadaffi ordered.
