So Rory did pick late as per usual, and still got it wrong - but there's more to it than that. I think Killie were only his third choice after Seph had already bagged the greatest club in the world and I had to disallow his Ardeer Thistle request after the mess that was caused by trying to include a Gretna game in the East of Scotland League a few years ago. Little surprise that he wouldn't be confident in them then, but even going for a draw proved to be optimistic as Hibs used the chance of an easy home game to bring themselves out of a recent slump. Not a shock then, that 16 of a possible 21 other players disagreed with him, but in many cases (including mine) it was for the wrong reason, thinking the home side's poor form would continue at Easter Road with a loss.

I'll get to the other 9 matches - whose scores were all up in the first post Sunday night, by the way - in a minute, but how does that leave the table (updated in the early hours of Monday)? I haven't addressed the massive changes of the past fortnight, so let's get down to it. We have the same leader as before, even though he actually lost top spot last week despite getting his gamble bet right by having a regular stinker. Back on form this week though, as 12 points is enough to be top scorer and return to the summit by the narrowest of margins: most exact scores. In the meantime it wasn't Gatso who overtook him however, but Lawz, with the 2009 champion having been poised to take the lead a couple of rounds back, he now finds himself in third, but that's not terrible considering how tight things are up there.

Not so at the other end where vanhalen dropping out means the gap at the bottom is now 16 points, with sivy still cast adrift. Koco's laptop problems have him on the verge of being expelled to, which is a shame since he was great at D2Ds had his yet. In between much movement, but it's of questionable importance. Former winner jerichoholictufcfan drops behind the leading pack after a poor round means he's joint lowest scorer, but he's still 11 points clear of fifth.

Onto the rest of the games then, and both German results caused problems, as did away wins for Spurs and Fiorentina. In contrast, most participants foresaw home victories in the Manchester derby and the Lille match, both occasionaly good for the odd three-pointer too, with the Derby d'Italia scoreline not far behind. A lot of people went for a draw at the imaginatively-named St Mirren Park, but nodoby was awaiting the six-goal thriller that ensued. Elsewhere the third derby of this round, a Rhone-Alpes clash in St Etienne, went with the form book, but again the correct score was unexpected as Lyon ran away with it in the end.

New set of 10 coming up in a few hours, when I'll explain whose D2D it would've been, and how two second-tier games from the country I'm currently in managed to sneak onto the card at short notice.
