Happ Hazzard Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 It was only shown in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire but can be seen here on iPlayer. Pretty good stuff, Johnny Nelson (the former boxer) meets up with wrestlers including Johnny Angel, Johnny Saint, Blondie Barrett and Marty Jones.
Paid Members neil's bitch Posted February 9, 2011 Paid Members Posted February 9, 2011 Also on the North West version of Inside Out, The Runcorn Wrestling Academy had been featured a couple of times i believe. Â
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted February 9, 2011 Paid Members Posted February 9, 2011 It comes on after 19.5 minutes. Johnny Nelson is obviously a big fan and it is pretty good segment.
Paid Members Big Benny HG Posted February 9, 2011 Paid Members Posted February 9, 2011 I fucking love me some Johnny Angel - proper well 'ard, rugged old school villain. One of the first British wrestlers I ever saw, back on summer holidays each year in Scarborough. Saw him in there alongside "Iron" Duke Lynch, Pitman's Hercules (who I believe is Angel's dad), Tony Stewart, Ian McGregor... good times. Â Loved it when he returned for Stevie Knight's "FWA Carnage" northern tour in 2005, with Knight & Angel vs. D-Lo Brown & Aviv Maayan in Castleford and Knight/D-Lo vs. Angel & Alex Shane the next night in Cleethorpes being two of my favourite ever live British matches. Â Gonna give this a watch, methinks. He was apparently in the studio on the local "Look North" news earlier that same night too, plugging the show.
ciar Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 Also on the North West version of Inside Out, The Runcorn Wrestling Academy had been featured a couple of times i believe.  RWA has been on the North West version, Zane. A couple of clips from the school were on on Monday's episode, in conjunction with a feature on Male Breast Caner. Our trainer's (Andy Baker) brother Jon has battled for a number of years with the disease. The feature as a whole, although not wrestling related (which probably means it should go on another board) is well worth a look. Be aware that, although rare, men are at risk as well, and often, sadly, the condition can go misdiagnosed when not checked thoroughly.  The feature can be found here:  The full episode should be available on iPlayer.
