The Maestro
Plus for anyone who's watched The Wire will appreciated the added bonus of Clay Davis going 'Sheeeiit' a couple of times in it as well. Â Yes. I have so much love for The Clay, I own a t-shirt with him and his phrase of 'SHHHHEEEEEIIIIIIT...'
Loki
Has anyone here seen Idiocracy? It was released with absolutely no publicity as far as I can tell, and I've never really heard of it or read anything about it, but it's really good. Â Â It's about 2 slightly dim modern Americans who are put into stasis and wake up in a future where the population's intelligence has gone through the floor, with hilarious consequences. It looks like a cheap 80s scifi movie, but is a really sharp satire and very funny. Check it out.
CurryAngel
Does Dolemite (Mother fucker) count as a lesser known movie? Awful movie but has such a charm to it. The dialogue is hilarious, the boom mic can be seen in every other shot and the plot is ridiculously basic. Blaxploitation at its finest.
1SinN6
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104348/ Â dont know if its lesser known. but certainly one of the better acting films and one that gets easily overlooked. Â Al Pacino's last great film! Before he went overboard with the WHOA! in Scent of Woman and Carlito's Way. Was really hard to find on DVD because despite the star studded cast its an independent movie. I had mine flown in from Belgium with shitty subtitles that are 2 seconds behind the action. Still worth watching. Â Baldwin has his career performance in his one and only scene and the last chapter if just Pacino heaven.
Amazing_Red_Fan
I would say Glengarry was fairly well known personally. Could be wrong though! Â On the Pacino front, The Panic in Needle Park and Author! Author! are good (it has been a while since I've seen Author! Author! mind you). Dog Day Afternoon if that's considered lesser known too.
