Paid Members Dead Mike Posted January 7, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted January 7, 2011 I missed the episode of Buzzcocks he presented & watched it on IPlayer last night. Absolutely fantastic stuff, his theory on why Professor Green got stabbed was genius. Miles Jupp was also great (as always. He's possibly one of my favourite acts on the circuit at the moment). Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted January 7, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted January 7, 2011 He was really good on Buzzcocks - that kind of environment is where he is undoubtedly at his strongest and actually funny.
GalaxyV.2
Yeah he was very good. Actually made Buzzcocks decent for once this series.
The Natural
Yeah he was very good. Actually made Buzzcocks decent for once this series. Â The show lost something when Simon Amstell left, it isn't as good as it once was...plus Noel Fiedling is annoying.
Ghostface1982
The show was shit when Amstell was there as well. It's been circling the drain since Lamarr left.
steve rayson
The new show is really poor + I don't see him as a very good comedian (here and there some good lines in MotW, nothing more).
Vito
The show was shit when Amstell was there as well. It's been circling the drain since Lamarr left. Amstell was crap when he first started but after he found his stride he was fantastic.

AshC
I thought Amstell was great until he completely disappeared up his own backside and disregarded the whole 'music quiz' part. Â Nothing wrong with a bit of fundamental structure in your comedy panel shows!
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 12, 2011 Moderators Share Posted January 12, 2011 See, I thought Lamar was at his best when he clearly no longer gave a shit about the whole 'music quiz' aspect. Where it would take about 20 minutes to get through the first 2 rounds, and then they'd just blast through the rest of the show. Â I liked the chaos and lack of structure.. GalaxyV.2
Amstell was the king of slowly taking apart guests. Lamarr would just shut them up with one remark. I much prefered Lamarr as I think the mans class, but they lucked out in having Amstell come in.
