CUFC
2. Despicable Me - Really?? It wasn't the best pixar/cgi kids film but it was solid enough. The 'minions' were ace! Â I hated it! Â It just didn't have enough jokes for the adults in like Toy Story and Megamind did!

Mr. Seven
The Crazies was good, despite it essentially playing like a horror Greatest Hits. I'll watch Timothy Olyphant in anything though. Â As for the Robin Hood mention a page or so back, I really can't quite get the hatred that film garnered. It's nothing special but I thought it was alright. Wasn't tremendous, but I didn't come out feeling raped like I did after Tron Legacy and Buried...

Mr. Seven
Because it wasn't the story of Robin Hood, it was a Robin Hood prequel. Â Â But it was marketed as an origin picture so where's the harm?
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted December 22, 2010 Moderators Share Posted December 22, 2010 I didn't see any adverts for it. If I'd known it was going to be an origin story I guess I wouldn't have been as massively disappointed as I was (or rather probably just wouldn't have watched it). Â I didn't think it was an awful film. If they make a sequel with the same cast and crew, I'd see it. Â But still, what's the deal with everything needing an origin story? They've done it with every single superhero franchise and I've had enough. I'd really welcome a glossing-over of origins with occasionaly relevant flashbacks. Ideal would be if the origin story of a character can be told in its entirety before the opening credits finish rolling.
Paid Members Bettencourt Posted December 22, 2010 Paid Members Share Posted December 22, 2010 Haven't seen much of 2010 as I'm not much of a movie person, but I thought Machete was great!

Paid Members FLips Posted January 3, 2011 Paid Members Share Posted January 3, 2011 If you enjoyed Spirited Away, I'd check out "My Neighbour Totoro" and "Ponyo" too. "Howl's Moving Castle" is quite good, but drags a bit.
Paid Members Weezenal Posted January 3, 2011 Author Paid Members Share Posted January 3, 2011 Yeah I managed to miss Ponyo at the cinema. Will try to check it out. Although this is the order I saw them not a ranking.
