WHO WILL WIN BRITISH WRESTLING'S BIGGEST RUMBLE?

Once again the prize for the winner of this fantastic 15-man over-the-top rope rumble featuring a who's who of UK Wrestling is a shot at the XWA British Heavyweight Title, currently held by the extremely controversial head of The Authority faction, 'The Ascension' Alex Shane.

The Authority's Greg 'The Truth' Lambert and Shane made a sinister proclamation to officially launch the Goldrush event, announcing one man in the shape of 'The Heavyweight House of Pain' Stixx who definitely will be entered into the Goldrush...and one man who definitely won't.

You can see footage of this proclamation here:

As you might expect, reigning Goldrush champion 'The Psychotic Warrior' Johnny Phere did not take kindly to his unfair exclusion from British Heavyweight championship contention and, while vowing that we will still be at Goldrush on Saturday night, made an extremely physical statement against all those in Authority who make questionable power-crazed decisions right here:

Also entered into the Golrdush are rising star 'The Showstealer' Nathan Cruz and his 300lb hired gun Colossus, in the wake of their brutal and possibly career-threatening attack on 'The RockStar' Spud at XWA Last Fight at the Prom last October.

You can see a gripping montage of events which led up to this assault here:

Meanwhile exciting young XWA star Jynkz is also in the Goldrush, although many of his followers are furious that he has to be. The Flying Scot had earned himself the opportunity of a lifetime by winning a mini Goldrush at a recent XWA Academy Show; that being a shot at Alex Shane on February 19.

Jynkz recently gave his first ever interview about the title opportunity and the odds he has overcome in his life to get this far. It's an emotional and often disturbing conversation which you can see right here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VKuhgo3DZM

On the same day as this interview was conducted, The Authority announced that Alex Shane was withdrawing from the Goldrush show due to "security reasons" and the advertised title defence against Jynkz was off. Believing this to be another ridiculous decision from Greg Lambert and his cohort, Lambert's XWA co-owner of the past eight years Mark Kay saw this as the final straw in their business relationship, and has announced he has quit the company and sold his 50% stake to a new co-owner who will be revealed at Goldrush.

Also entering the 15-man rumble are all the other members of Spud's Team RockStar, namely the 400lb Toxic Terror Cyanide, Best of the North West Champion Axl Rage, his tag partner JD Sassoon and even their loudmouthed tour manager Stallion. Team RockStar has made no official statement about the condition of their leader Spud, who has been sidelined since Last Fight due to the neck injury he suffered at the hands of Cruz and Colossus. But what we do know is that Axl Rage and JD Sassoon have been very busy of late, seemingly repackaging themselves as a pair of hometown-loving irritants known as The Blackpool Blonds.

Also entered into the Goldrush are El Ligero, 'The Grappler' Jack Gallagher, Zack Diamond, Joey Hayes, Ricky J McKenzie and two mystery wild card entrants who will be announced on the night!

And other matches have been signed for the show, including El Ligero defending the British Flyweight Title against 'The Grappler' Jack Gallagher and Joey Hayes going for revenge on Blond Jovi's JD Sassoon for costing him the XWA Best of the North West Cup last time out in a match with Sassoon's buddy Axl Rage, 'The Showstealer' Nathan Cruz taking on Zack Diamond and Jynkz going one on one with Ricky J McKenzie.

XWA Goldrush results in brief

El Ligero pinned 'Grappler' Jack Gallagher to retain the XWA Flyweight Title

Colossus (replacing 'Showstealer' Nathan Cruz) pinned Zack Diamond

Joey Hayes pinned JD Sassoon with help from his returning former tag team partner Declan O'Connor. After the match O'Connor tried to make up with Hayes for turning on him two years ago, but Joey refused his hand shake and walked off.

Jynkz pinned Ricky J McKenzie.

After the match The Authority emerged with a huge security entourage, and RJM and The Minions beat Jynkz down. Greg Lambert announced the advertised title defence by The Ascension Alex Shane was back on, and The Ascension beat Jynkz in less than a minute as security surrounded the ring. Then Johnny Phere came out, DESTROYED security, tried to get to Shane and Lambert but was stopped by The Authority's female Minion Faith Tanner who slapped Phere three times hard across the face. Phere then gave her a Ram Slam! Security then dragged the screaming Phere from the building.

Stixx won the Goldrush to extend the 'Stixx Streak' to 13 matches undefeated and become number one contender to the XWA Title lastly ousting Colossus. The mystery entrants were Declan O'Connor, who tried again to make peace with Hayes but just as they were about to shake hands, they were attacked and laid out by The Blackpool Blonds, then eliminated. The other mystery entrant was RockStar Spud, who everyone thought was not going to be there due to his neck injury, most of all his cohorts in Team RockStar who'd formed a Goldrush alliance with Spud's arch-rival Nathan Cruz! When Spud arrived Stallion and The Blonds tried to hug him, but Spud attacked them all and eliminated Stallion, then Cruz!

After Stixx won the Goldrush, The Authority returned and Lambert announced that an exhausted Stixx's title shot against The Ascension would happen right now. But then MC Richard Parker announced that the new co-owner of the XWA was coming out to introduce himself. It was SAM SLAM! The pop was deafening as Sam emerged to return to the XWA after 12 months in exile, destroyed the other Authority Minion Aaron Inferno, then told a furious Shane and Lambert that The Ascension v Stixx would happen on Saturday June 4 at XWA War on the Shore, with Sam as ringside enforcer!

There were fans hugging each other with sheer joy in the crowd as Sam Slam came out. It was an INCREDIBLE moment...
