WHO WILL WIN BRITISH WRESTLING'S BIGGEST RUMBLE?

Once again the prize for the winner of this fantastic 15-man over-the-top rope rumble featuring a who's who of UK Wrestling is a shot at the XWA British Heavyweight Title, currently held by the extremely controversial head of The Authority faction, 'The Ascension' Alex Shane.

The Authority's Greg 'The Truth' Lambert and Shane made a sinister proclamation to officially launch the Goldrush event, announcing one man in the shape of 'The Heavyweight House of Pain' Stixx who definitely will be entered into the Goldrush...and one man who definitely won't.

You can see footage of this proclamation here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5EEexXY3yY

As you might expect, reigning Goldrush champion 'The Psychotic Warrior' Johnny Phere did not take kindly to his unfair exclusion from British Heavyweight championship contention and, while vowing that we will still be at Goldrush on Saturday night, made an extremely physical statement against all those in Authority who make questionable power-crazed decisions right here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMBh7fPe2ic

Also entered into the Golrdush are rising star 'The Showstealer' Nathan Cruz and his 300lb hired gun Colossus, in the wake of their brutal and possibly career-threatening attack on 'The RockStar' Spud at XWA Last Fight at the Prom last October.

You can see a gripping montage of events which led up to this assault here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLgDQdc21Nc

Meanwhile exciting young XWA star Jynkz is also in the Goldrush, although many of his followers are furious that he has to be. The Flying Scot had earned himself the opportunity of a lifetime by winning a mini Goldrush at a recent XWA Academy Show; that being a shot at Alex Shane on February 19.

Jynkz recently gave his first ever interview about the title opportunity and the odds he has overcome in his life to get this far. It's an emotional and often disturbing conversation which you can see right here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VKuhgo3DZM

On the same day as this interview was conducted, The Authority announced that Alex Shane was withdrawing from the Goldrush show due to "security reasons" and the advertised title defence against Jynkz was off. Believing this to be another ridiculous decision from Greg Lambert and his cohort, Lambert's XWA co-owner of the past eight years Mark Kay saw this as the final straw in their business relationship, and has announced he has quit the company and sold his 50% stake to a new co-owner who will be revealed at Goldrush.

Also entering the 15-man rumble are all the other members of Spud's Team RockStar, namely the 400lb Toxic Terror Cyanide, Best of the North West Champion Axl Rage, his tag partner JD Sassoon and even their loudmouthed tour manager Stallion. Team RockStar has made no official statement about the condition of their leader Spud, who has been sidelined since Last Fight due to the neck injury he suffered at the hands of Cruz and Colossus. But what we do know is that Axl Rage and JD Sassoon have been very busy of late, seemingly repackaging themselves as a pair of hometown-loving irritants known as The Blackpool Blonds. See here

Also entered into the Goldrush are El Ligero, 'The Grappler' Jack Gallagher, Zack Diamond, Joey Hayes, Ricky J McKenzie and two mystery wild card entrants who will be announced on the night!

And other matches have been signed for the show, including El Ligero defending the British Flyweight Title against 'The Grappler' Jack Gallagher and Joey Hayes going for revenge on Blond Jovi's JD Sassoon for costing him the XWA Best of the North West Cup last time out in a match with Sassoon's buddy Axl Rage, 'The Showstealer' Nathan Cruz taking on Zack Diamond and Jynkz going one on one with Ricky J McKenzie.

The tour manager of Team RockStar, Stallion, has today released an official statement saying that all the members of XWA's most obnoxious group of rock renegades will be entering this year's XWA Goldrush 15-man rumble! However, there is one name conspicuous by his absence....

The Geordie maverick sent out a press release which says that Team RockStar members Axl Rage, JD Sassoon, Cyanide and even Stallion himself have all officially entered British Wrestling's Biggest Rumble, to take place on Saturday February 19 2011 at The Carleton in Morecambe.

However, the release may not have been sent with the approval of the leader of Team RockStar, The RockStar Spud himself. That's because Spud is not mentioned in the statement at all. So we are not entirely sure if Spud authorised Stallion to send our the release, or if the bandana-wearing blowhard took it upon himself to make the announcement off his own back.

You may recall that The RockStar is currently sidelined with an extremely serious neck injury, a long term problem which was worsened by a vicious attack by 'The Showstealer' Nathan Cruz and Colossus at the XWA Last Fight at the Prom event in October. The latest on Spud's condition is that he is scheduled to undergo an MRI scan on his neck in the New Year. We will know more about the long-term prognosis for Spud's wrestling career when the results of this scan are published.

In the meantime, it seems strange to us that Stallion would choose to make an announcement about the future plans for Team RockStar, when the leader of the group appears to have disappeared from the public eye due to such highly-publicised health problems.

The XWA website is hoping to speak with Stallion at some point very soon to get to the bottom of what's really going on here.

'Showstealer' Nathan Cruz v Zack 'Diamond' Gibson signed for Goldrush

'The Showstealer' Nathan Cruz is so adamant that he will once again steal the show on Saturday February 19 and win the 2011 Goldrush, that he's demanded a warm up match before the 15-man rumble to show off his self-professed Show Stealing skills in order to "intimidate" his 14 rivals.

Step forward XWA newcomer Zack 'Diamond' Gibson, a prodigiously talented youngster from Liverpool who has volunteered to face the braggart Cruz in this singles match, in order to shut 'The Showstealer's mouth.

Expect Gibson, one of the most highly-touted prospects in the entire UK, to be anything but a warm up for Cruz. Then again, Zack will need to watch out for the ominous presence of Nathan's hired henchman, the massive Colossus. And 'Diamond' will also do well to watch footage of how Cruz and Colossus brutally decimated 'The RockStar' Spud at XWA Last Fight at the Prom.

Nathan Cruz v Zack 'Diamond' Gibson has been added to the card for XWA Goldrush at The Carleton in Morecambe on Saturday, February 19 2011. Tickets available by clicking 'Buy Tickets' at www.xwawrestling.com

Introducing The Blackpool Blonds...

The following exclusive XWA Wrestling video has been paid for by Axl Rage and JD Sassoon - the team formerly known as Blond Jovi. It was filmed on location in Morecambe and Blackpool. And the opinions expressed in this video are most definitely NOT the opinions of XWA Wrestling and its management.

The video can be seen here. And Joey Hayes, JD Sassoon's opponent at Goldrush on February 19, should pay close attention as there is a message for him at the end...

Johnny Phere takes on The Council!

Emotions are running high in Morecambe following the demolition of the town's favourite venue, the hallowed British Wrestling hall The Morecambe Dome. One man who has taken the destruction of the great building particularly badly, is XWA's top star 'The Psychotic Warrior' Johnny Phere.

When Phere visited The Dome demolition site on Morecambe seafront last Sunday, he was already in a dark mood. The XWA's Authority of Alex Shane and Greg Lambert have refused to grant him a deserved British Heavyweight Title rematch against Shane. They have also decided to ban him from the Goldrush rumble on Saturday February 19 at The Carleton, the event he won in the last ever show at The Dome last year to earn a title shot against 'RockStar' Spud, a match he subsequently won only to be screwed out of the title by Shane and Lambert the same night. What's more, the Ultimate Anti-Hero had been laid low by a nasty bout of food poisoning just 24 hours before filming, and had got off his sick bed to make sure his thoughts on The Dome's demise were recorded for posterity before the great venue was flattened for good.

Take a look at our video to see Phere's emotional outburst against all figures in authority who make power-crazed decisions against public opinion, and see how one unlikely 'authority figure' ended up in the wrong place...at very much the wrong time!

And watch out Authority, because Johnny Phere is coming to Goldrush!

RJM ENTERS THE GOLDRUSH!

Following his exceptionally impressive debut for XWA at Breakout last Sunday, GPW star Ricky J McKenzie has been added to the lineup for British Wrestling's Biggest Rumble - Goldrush - on Saturday February 19.

Although RJM was ultimately defeated by Jynkz at the Morecambe Wrestling TV Studios on Sunday, he was very much part and parcel of what many observers called the best match ever held on an XWA Student Show.

Now the 21-year-old from Blackpool has the chance to show a bigger audience what he can do, when he enters the 15-man rumble at The Carleton in Morecambe in just over two weeks.

Twelve names have now been announced for XWA Goldrush. They are Stixx, Nathan Cruz, Colossus, Cyanide, Axl Rage, JD Sassoon, Stallion, Joey Hayes, Jack Gallagher, Zack 'Diamond' Gibson, El Ligero and Ricky J McKenzie. We now await confirmation of the final three entrants!

THE MISS MORECAMBE RAFFLE...at XWA GOLDRUSH!

The Morecambe Raffle is an XWA Wrestling tradition. It's the only raffle in British Wrestling...in fact the only raffle in the WORLD...that the fans chant the name of. It's the only raffle in British Wrestling...and the only raffle anywhere on the planet that has its own T-Shirt. The stars of British Wrestling clamour to host The Morecambe Raffle. The fans of British Wrestling clamour to enter The Morecambe Raffle. It is, quite simply, the biggest cult experience in British Wrestling today. And on Saturday, February 19 2011 at XWA Goldrush, The Morecambe Raffle is going to the next level when it becomes not just The Morecambe Raffle, but The MISS Morecambe Raffle...

That's because at Goldrush the current Miss Morecambe, Stephanie Jackson, will be the guest host of The Morecambe Raffle.

673994_1948370.jpg

The gorgeous 21-year-old biochemistry and genetics student from Morecambe was crowned the winner of the annual Miss Morecambe beauty contest last year, and went on to represent our Lancashire seaside town in the Miss England event.

Since becoming Miss Morecambe, stunning Stephanie has proven to be a fantastic ambassador for the town and has made guest appearances at several local events, and when we approached her to be a part of XWA Goldrush, she was delighted to accept the invitation...even though she's the first to admit that she doesn't know much about professional wrestling.

But determined to learn the ropes, she agreed to take part in an exclusive photo shoot for the Morecambe Visitor newspaper with 'The Psychotic Warrior' Johnny Phere...where the beautiful brunette got up close and personal with The Ultimate Anti-Hero, even allowing him to pick her up in his devastating Ram Slam!

You can see an article and photo of when Miss Morecambe met Johnny Phere on page 13 of this week's Morecambe Visitor...out today in the Morecambe and Lancaster area. But don't worry if you can't get hold of a copy, we will bring you the pictures from that photo shoot right here at www.xwawrestling.com very soon.

But in the meantime, if you can't wait to see more photos of Miss Morecambe, Stephanie Jackson, take a look at the link below.

Evil Lewis meets Jynkz

Saturday, 05 February 2011 15:23

In his first ever interview to the XWA YouTube channel, XWA Wrestling's exciting young high flyer Jynkz speaks to Evil Lewis Penney. In this interview filmed last Sunday prior to XWA Breakout, the 22-year-old from Morecambe talks about a range of subjects, including his troubled past as a victim of child abuse at the hands of his own mother...

It's clear from Jynkz's harrowing description of his family life growing up in Glasgow that this courageous young man has defied both physical and emotional pain to realise his dream of competing as a professional wrestler.

Jynkz also speaks about his relationship with British Heavyweight Champion Alex Shane, and his title match with The Ascension which was originally scheduled for XWA Goldrush on Saturday February 19 at The Carleton in Morecambe.

The interview can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VKuhgo3DZM

PLEASE NOTE - If you have been affected by any of the subjects talked about in this interview, or if you are or know a victim of child abuse, please contact the confidential Childline service on freephone 0800 1111 or alternatively visit the website www.childline.org.uk for more information.
