Sphinx
It's a real shame that silver vision didn't complete releasing there back catalog with the tagged classics series. Personally I would like to see Freemantle give some classic PPVs the HD transfer treatment with some blu ray releases. Plenty of old films have had blu ray releases and some have looked fantastic. Wrestlemania 6 on blu ray? Yes please. Â I'm pretty certain that Mania 6 on Bluray wouldn't look that much different. It wouldn't look as different as old movies anyway as movies are recorded in a better quality/on film. On The True Story of Wrestlemania Bluray for example, it has old matches but they're only really improved by less pixellation. Someone who knows more will be able to fill in the gaps, I'm sure. Baz Windham
Looks great that, looking forward to documentary and some good early rarities in the matches. Would have perhaps liked a few more early Mankind matches but can't have it all.

It's difficult to get things originally shot on tape, particularly at NTSC frame rate, to look improved. Your source material is limited in what it can become, since all you have is 720x486 30p/60i stuff. It's not like something shot on film, which can easily be scanned at a higher resolution and instantly look a thousand times better. Even if you chop off the top and bottom to make it widescreen you're left with a 720x405 picture, blown up on to a HD screen, it's gonna look pretty crap.  I would imagine they do some clever tape to film conversion, and then run it through some magical interpolation kit that makes Hogan's bald patch look even shinier. Even so the result probably won't be that great.

MVP RULZ
Hmm the Top 25 rivalries set sounds an interesting one  If done correctly it could be a great set, I'd imagine it will be some form of countdown with the documentary spending about 5 minutes focusing on the first 15 then about 10 minutes for the final 10 about each rivalry, then a match from each rivalry on disc 2 and 3  Anyone heard anything about it? SteelEdge
I wonder if they'll have the Mania 21 MITB on that Anthology set. I know Benoit is in it, which is a big no-no these days but surely they can't have a compilation of MITB matches without showing the one that started it all?
