You can definitely end up fighting someone twice during the same tournament depending on points gained and all that stuff. Ray Cooper fought Jake Shields twice in season 1 for example. The 3rd fight here is because of the failed drugs test. Another issue PFL had in season 2 was that they recycled most of the roster from season 1 so there were likely rematches in that way too. Ariel Helwani keeps banging on about how PFL needs to clear the slate and bring in more familar names to get people invested with the concept. Going by the announcements so far though that looks like what they may be doing for season 3.

It was lowest rated of any show the promotion has ran on NYE. The promotion apparently knew the show was destined to bomb, and accordingly scaled back their presentation as a cost cutting measure. For example, there was no opening ceremony. Quick correction. There was an opening ceremony. It was just scaled down from previous years. Elsewhere, Jiri Prochazka is seemingly finished with Rizin. However, Rizin has a contractual clause that allows them decide which promotion Prochazka's team negotiates with first upon departure. Prochazka team will thus have to negotiate with Bellator first, given Rizin's business relationship with the California based promotion. Prochazka's team is interested in fighting Bader, and the latter is also teasing the fight on social media. However, it appears as though Prochazka and his team want a 1-fight deal with Bellator, which would see them fight Bader and then be able to leave the promotion. As they are unlikely to secure such a deal, it seems probable that Jiri will eventually sign with the UFC, once negotiations with Bellator cease. He's said in the past that his priority is to compete in the UFC with the best fighters in the world. Even a better financial offer from Bellator seems unlikely to sway him. TLDR: Bader vs Nemkov looks likely to be next. Bader vs Jiri will probably not happen. Edited January 5, 2020 by jimufctna24

Paid Members Egg Shen Posted April 27, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted April 27, 2020 Didnt know where to post this but Submission Underground 13 happened last night. Craig Jones beat Vinny Magalhaes via verbal submission. The match is strange as Jones seemingly refuses to attempt attacking Magalhaes legs anymore because he knows what damage he's already done. They continue eventually just agree to stop the match. Magalhaes must have some insane pain threshold/poker face deal going on because his ankle looked like it was turned the wrong way, grim. Paid Members Egg Shen Posted July 17, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted July 17, 2020 errr, here's your reminder... the fight of the year goes down tomorrow night, Pat Miletich fights Michael Nunn on PPV! K-1 Rules! They have a combined age of 109. Also read that Pat Miletich was arrested for DUI last week so camp must be going well.
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted July 20, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted July 20, 2020 well it happened, Nunn won a split decision over the 4 rounds: https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/michael-nunn-defeats-pat-miletich-in-kickboxing-bout-aims-to-carry-on-fighting/152876 I saw a few clips, Nunn looked to have decent hand speed for a bloke of 57 who's spent the last 16 years in prison 😕
