Yeah, Gregory has been crocked intermittently this season and is back (I believe) this weekend in the t20's for us. So might be a fitness issue having him in the test squad when he's barely played for a month and there's no scope for a game before we face Australia again.

This has been Jamie's best season for the club. He's finally started to bowl with a bit of accuracy and use his brain rather than steaming in like a moron all of the time. I still think Crag is the better overall cricketer, but he's not offering anything that Woakes or Broad don't already and Jamie potentially does.

Don't worry, no comment on the test. ūüė¨ Just Greg James posting the Aggers, McGrath and Strauss video from yesterday and an unlikely response. ¬† ¬†

Just got home from a day on Headingley's Western Terrace(they can shove the new name up their arses, it will always be the 'Tarrace to me!). I'm pissed, a bit on the sun burnt side and still buzzing a

Suggesting the final shouldn't have been at Lord's is complete and total nonsense. For all its faults, it's one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world and the atmosphere, to me anyway, sounde

I guess their thought process might be they might lose some control with two fast bowlers in the team but Archer's economy has been fantastic. They could afford to have Jamie Overton in, plus he can bat a bit as well, if not as well as his brother.

We are only at the lunch interval and this is already arguably the greatest match in test history.

Career test average of 20 with the ball. The stats don't lie.

Chill as fuck taking that wicket

Classic selectors tactic of "well we won the last one with Roy in the team, so best keep him in."

Roy has been so bad my Aussie mates don't even bring him up in there weekly "but they aren't even English....." whinge

Has everyone seen that video where the opposition captain kicks off at Cornwall because he retired "hurt" as he was struggling to make anything other than singles from the non striking end as he was too tired to stay out there?

Overton in for Woakes then. I'm glad they've booted Woakes but why have they jumped him over Curran in the queue? He's a left arm option for variety and he's a better batsman. Odd one, that.

Some odd selection choices if you ask me. I think Woakes has had an OK series. Batted well in the first test and made a thirty in the second. Ok he's only taken 9 wickets but he's looked good at times. To dump him and give Curran a go would be one thing but to dump him, overlook Curran and bring in Overton is just odd to me.

I also don't like the idea of swapping Denly and Roy around. Denly has clearly struggled with the step up to Test cricket but he's worked hard and shown some grit and determination at number 4. That should be rewarded with another go. He doesn't open the batting in County Cricket for Kent. What's going to be the result of asking him to open for England? He'll struggle and will get dropped. Roy has come into the side and been asked to do a job and hasn't been able to do it. When we're looking for a number 4 then give him a call. Zak Crawley and Dominic Sibley have had decent seasons opening the batting in Championship cricket and I'd much rather see them be give the chance than to see someone else played out of position.

Joe Root keeping himself on after dispatching Smith is possibly the worst of all his awful decisions. Bowling at 9, 10 and 11? Part time spin will break a partnership but you want to be threatening the tail with pace. Not letting Lyon score 25 around the ground.

Root is a fucking dross captain. Makes me pine for the days of paint by numbers Cook
