Participant 2/16: Lupo for ICW (Italy)

LUPO04.jpg

The second promotion to nominate a wrestler for the big 16 man European Heavyweight title tournament is Italian Championship Wrestling. Known for having a huge amount of self-produced star wrestlers in their roster, it comes to no surprise the first one to be nominated is a graduate of the accomplished ICW Academy.

Lupo has been Italian tag team champion twice, as well as a three time inter-regional Italian champion. With four years of experience all over Europe, this Milan-native is a force to be reckoned with.

Nominees:

- #1 "Bad Bones" John Kay (Germany, CWN)

- #2 Lupo (Italy, ICW)

- #3- #16 still to come

A bit surprising, but still a very good choice.

Surely one of the best icw academy graduate, a various highflying (but not only..) moveset, good physique.

He won "il Numero Uno 2007", the most important tournament in icw and in italy, but still not Italian Title stint for him who deserves it without a doubt.

Participant 5/16: Chaos for DPW (Denmark)

Half the promotions within the UEWA have already nominated their first wrestler, second half starts out with our scandinavian friends from Danish Pro Wrestling. DPW has proven themselves to be one of the busiest promotions in Europe nowadays with 15-20 shows a year. They are drawing more and more fans to the shows, mainly because of the biggest danish wrestling star, Chaos - Chaos has been Danish champion twice and has held on to the title all through 2009 so far. So obviously, there is no better choice to represent Denmark than Chaos.

Nominees:

- #1 "Bad Bones" John Kay (Germany, CWN)

- #2 Lupo (Italy, ICW)

- #3

Only two months in the business, the Union Of European Wrestling Alliances can happily announce its tenth member, the Norwegian Wrestling Federation or Norges Wrestlingforbund as it is known in their home country of Norway joins UEWA and helps the Alliance to grow all over Europe.

Norwegian Wrestling Federation was established in 2001 by norwegian wrestler Erik Isaksen and has had about 10 shows per year ever since then making it the longest running promotion in the Nordic region NWF has a roster of about 15 of their own wrestlers with many of them wrestling not only in Norway but in other countries like England or Denmark as well.

UEWA is proud to announce NWF as the tenth member, joining effectively september 1st. We at the UEWA are very happy to call NWF our newest partners and are sure they will make us proud and help us spreading the UEWA-thought all over Europe. Currently, the following promotions are part of the UEWA at the day of this announcement:

- All Star Wrestling (Birkenhead, England)

- Catch Wrestling Norddeutschland (Norderstedt, Germany)

- Danish Pro Wrestling (Midtjylland, Denmark)

- Italian Championship Wrestling (Milan, Italy)

- Norwegian Wrestling Federation (Oslo, Norway)

- Pro Power Wrestling (Porthcawl, Wales)
