gbacon85
Not Safe For Work. Bloody love it. Â Sacha Dhawan is a brilliant actor, such raw emotion in his scenes this week. Pretty much sums up how most of us feel in our late 20s/early 30s.
Mr_Danger
Is the 4th season of CYE the greatest single season of a sitcom ever? There's no weak episodes and The Producers narrative running through it is my favourite of all the other seasons with a great pay off, although I'm a couple off being upto date. sammorgz
Extremely late to the party but I started watching The Sopranos last week after having the DVD's sat on my shelf for ages. Approaching the end of Season Two now and it's just bloody fantastic. Love a gangster show/movie!
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted August 2, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 2, 2015 Is the 4th season of CYE the greatest single season of a sitcom ever? Â The Seinfeld reunion season is probably my favourite in terms of CYE season long arcs but season 4 probably has a higher number of classic episodes. Â But the best season of a single sitcom would be Seinfeld season 7.
Paid Members Bellenda Carlisle Posted August 2, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 2, 2015 The Seinfeld reunion was the one series of Curb I didn't like, I'm a Seinfeld fan and everything, I just thought it was weak, it was back on form for the next series though. Â I watched season 4 of Children's Hospital last night, it's hilarious, some of the little throwaway gags kill me. The UK episode was terrible though. Henry Winkler is great in stuff like this, most of the rest of the ensemble are great too (although I do hate Chief)
Paid Members stumobir Posted August 2, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 2, 2015 I love the Seinfeld reunion season just because I thought it was cool seeing the cast back together and of course there's the Danny Dubetstein episode which is brilliant, Leon is an incredible addition to the show. Â Would probably have to agree that season four is the strongest though, The Car Pool Lane and The Survivor are two of the funniest episodes of TV ever written. gbacon85
My favourite episode is the one where they all break off from the subway..."His mother was a mudder" Â What a show.
Paid Members FLips Posted August 4, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 4, 2015 Watched the Wet Hot American Summer film/Netflix series over the last few days. The film is funny but you can see why it's a cult film. The series is hilarious and much improved by seeing the film first.
King Pitcos
I bought the film from Poundland years ago and I remember not liking it much. I find David Wain very hit and miss, sometimes he goes too David Wainy, like a comedy Wes Anderson. I tried watching his romcom parody starring Amy Poehler and Paul Rudd the other day and made it through about fifteen minutes. I want to watch the Wet Hot American Summer series though, so I'll have to give the film another go.
Paid Members FLips Posted August 4, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 4, 2015 I enjoyed the film but have no desire to watch it again. The series is great but you do need to see the film to get half the jokes.
Guy Bifkin
I loved Wet Hot American Summer and haven't seen the film so I think it's possible to enjoy the series without having seen it. Having said that I'm going to seek it out although I've read it's not that great.
Awards Moderator Onyx2 Posted August 5, 2015 Awards Moderator Share Posted August 5, 2015 I'm in camp Bifkin, never even heard of the film but enjoyed the series. The film is also on UK Netflix.
Paid Members Dead Mike Posted August 6, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 6, 2015 Caught up on the first 3 episodes of the 2nd series of ‘People Just Do Nothing’ on IPlayer. Sitcom following Brentford’s #1 pirate radio station & it’s stars MC Grindah & DJ Beats. Really well observed & the jokes hit far more than they miss. Definitely worth grabbing the first series if you can find it.
Merzbow
I love that show, can imagine that it won't be for everyone but it's easily my fav BBC3 comedy since the death of Ideal. They've just done a show on Rinse FM which is worth a listen too https://soundcloud.com/rinsefm/drivewithmaya030815 Â I just hope they carry on giving Steves some more time on the show, he's great. Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted August 6, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted August 6, 2015 That show is murder to subtitle but it's hilarious to me because I actually know so many people who are actually like the characters in it.
