Niche and fuck all to do with the playoffs, but the Red Sox have fired Dave Bush and Carlos Febles, respectively pitching coach and third base coach. I'm delighted, they've both been atrocious for years.

Count yourself lucky. The Jays have been underwhelming for years now and they've fired....absolutely no one this post-season.

Why change it when you can just redo all the same old shite that's failed this year all over again next year? I'm thoroughly disgusted.

  2. The guy is clearly having the time of his life with all this shit, isn't he? Rich enough to start his own wrestling company, and now he's doing his best to restart some mental version of the Monday Night Wars.

How long before The Acclaimed show up outside a Raw show in Alabama driving a pink tank with a cannon wrapped in glittery paper?

    Amazing.

  3. As soon as they didn't play the game and allow Dana to do as he wished with Conor's return the relationship was always on shaky ground.

The UFC want to be seen as legit and PED-free until it prohibits them from sticking one of their top stars in the cage.

Nobody in the WWE locker room wants to work with him, why introduce the aggravation that Punk always causes in locker rooms, the public embarrassment of his meltdowns, the negative blowback when you eventually have to fire him, just for more t-shirt sales?

Not to sound like a dick, but how do you know that? Granted, there have been a few who have voiced their displeasure, but to say nobody wants to work with him? He's a big name, he'll attract attention. I would wager that there's talent in WWE who would love that spotlight and the prominence of a series of matches with him.

And again, I think we're blowing his antics way out of proportion. He was in WWE for almost ten years and while there was some grumbling and he tends to get all hysterical about certain things, they positioned him in prominent feuds and even put the belt on him. He was clearly unhappy at AEW, but as much as I love watching their product, it's not exactly the best-run company in the world, is it? Not to excuse Punk, but I said ages ago that he'd be much better suited to the corporate structure in WWE where no one is going to "go into business for themselves" in front of a camera and cause him offence.

Nah, if they bring him in I'm fairly sure there'll be talent who'd love the opportunity to work with him.

    Would they though?

With where they are in terms of business right now, I can see why they might decide its just more hassle than it's worth.

Yeah, I think they would. He's clearly still a huge deal in the world of pro wrestling. And the hassle that everyone is speaking about could easily be restricted to his time at AEW.

I mean, he's always had a rep as a bit of a moaning-faced twat, but it's not as though he has a history of brawling with talent and causing chaos. That was all pretty much limited to AEW, and I'd think WWE know this.

If anything, the biggest risk would be bringing him in, putting him in a decent program and then injury striking him down. But that is a risk to anyone I guess.

WWE clearly worried about bullshit sucking the oxygen out of the Survivor Series room and moving hard to crush the Punk talk. Meltzer’s secret sauces have told him Punk reached out and Vince and big Nick told him to fuck off.

Are we still putting any stock into what Meltzer says? Besides, if they want to add any kind of element of surprise to his big return, why would they want the media all but confirming it? The best way to throw the neckbeards off the scent is to put the word out to Big Dave that it's all been flushed.

They'd be mental not to bring him in.

I'm wondering if Riddle (rightfully) shitting on UFC and Dana for years or being a garbage human more recently was the reason for his release.

Dana is 100% petty enough to want to fire Riddle twice.

I doubt Dana has any say over how Endeavor runs WWE, to be honest. And I doubt even more that it had much to do with him as a person. If he was a top guy generating money, they wouldn't have gotten rid of him.

I'd wager that it's probably down to his contract and him being seen as not providing enough of a return on that investment. Not that his being problematic as an individual didn't make the choice easier, of course.

They’ve also spent a large portion of their life getting hit in the head repeatedly. They’re also more likely to show bias, whether for a friend, training camp, or style of fighter.

Even taking all of that into account as a distinct possibility, they still can't be any worse than the shit we've been served up by inept judges to this point. I'm all for it.

How's it is for spoilers and speed of upload of the events?

They normally have the events uploaded by midday on the Sunday. I don't see any spoilers usually, but make sure to click on the "Live - The Ultimate Fighting Championship" section and not just "The Ultimate Fighting Championship" because that may provide highlights or single fights etc that could have spoilers.

    Way to get there is...

Click "live TV," then "Catch up" then search for TNT.
