  1. I didn't realise we had a Warhammer thread around these parts. I have been on the periphery of the hobby for a while , I used to have a great Battle Games in Middle Earth collection that got lost in a shed fire and more recently dabbled in 40k with the first of the Hachette part work magazines which got sold during the latter days of the pandemic when I was out of work (along with all my wrestling memorabilia)  but strangely I still enjoy watching hobby content on Youtube, not even lore videos but Tabletop Minions and The Painting Phase despite not having done anything in a few years. I think when my son is a bit older and I have a bit more time (and disposable income) I am going to put together a couple thousand points of something and try and actually get a few games in.

  2. Kinda an expert in this field. Bad Rhino is a great shout, but I would also take a look at Bigclothing4u.co.uk too, and if you're based anywhere near Birmingham you could always pop into Banks Big and Tall, an absolutely superb shop for the larger gentleman.

WWE will just keep it tied up in court until MLW run out of money, won't they?

Apparently the law firm representing MLW are working on contingency so that will be harder for WWE to do and sho s to some degree that someone there thinks there's a case for WWE to answer to and presumably some evidence to support the case.

  4. He also severely injured the new Ace of the company in that match. It was very much a case of Onita thinking he was FMW and without him the company would quickly burn out a die.

  5. I think both Matt and Bryan have been pretty open about what they are involved in. They have been pretty heavily involved in both theirs and the good brothers super 7 figures and there own ringside figures. They have said they did push for the packaging to be changed on the micro brawlers to make them more collector friendly and also pushed for limited runs to boost a collector market but have said that they encouraged Ryan at wrestle crate / pro wrestling tees to continue with normal non limited releases. Matt hasn't reinvent the wheel but he has seen how the market was for year old plus elites and other off the market and limited run figures and cards and realised that limited runs and one off products are much more collectable and has created a collectors market for his own goods.

Cardona and crew recently announced their new line, based on Hasbro style figures, and will be somewhat competing with the new Chella Toys company (doing the same style).

Cardona and his designers have now announced including the design, of the first additional name, added to his and Myers line.

edit - ZST is stating that it’s their own independent company, so there’s a bit of confusion regarding how much Cardona is involved. He is heavily promoting them though.

Didn't Matt confirm on the podcast this week they were a zombie sailor product and that they were just pushing them as they were a new "retros" style line that him Brian and Mark all love? He also spilled that they are designed by Ron rudat who designed the original Hasbro's which is quite cool.

Shoichi Arai, the guy who ran it, wrote a book about some of the insanity in the promotion: http://fmwwrestling.us/FMWChapter1.html

It was effectively a more extreme (so to speak) version of the ECW story of being a bare-bones company that wound up growing rapidly and being in constant cashflow problems. They were doing baseball stadium shows while only having seven office staff and at least some of their debt was with the Yakuza.

There is also an amazing podcast / youtube series by Bahu which chronicles FMW year by year which is definitely worth a watch for anyone interested in the companies history.

  8. Just got back from seeing The Drop , I wasn't sure what to expect as even though I'm a fan of Gandolfini and Tom Hardy it seemed to sneak under the radar without much hype or advertisement which is normally a bad sign. I have to say it is one of the best films I have seen in years . Brilliant story , great character development and some real good twists and turns, I can't see why this didn't have a more hyped release to be honest.

  9. I might as well dive into this thread head first , due to my crippling fear of talking to girls in a social setting meaning I wasn't going to be picking up girls in real life too easily I turned to POF, I did quite well on there to my surprise (the whole obesity / not being great looking thing going against me ) I had a pretty long term relationship that went no where at all , a few one off dates and flings etc , but then I met this girl and my whole life seemed to change over night , I was happy for the first time in years , had all the confidence in the world , I felt in the shortest space of time I'd found my soul mate (that sounds sloppy as fuck I know) and she seemed to be as happy as me . Then after about 6 weeks of dating and about 3 days before my birthday she said she didn't feel a spark between us and that we should break it off. I brushed it off for a day or so as no big deal I'd find someone else (I did and that only made things worse for my mental health) But then about 2 days later I was home alone and ended up breaking down and curled into a ball sobbing my heart out. That's when I realized what I'd lost and how much she meant to me. We didn't speak for a few months then one night in fb we started a drunken conversation (both parties were pretty drunk) where she told me she did love me but didn't feel a spark which just makes my head spin even more and makes it even harder to deal with. I have since had a short term relationship with someone else where I felt absolutely nothing for the girl who was a really nice girl which is cementing even more that I want to be with "girl a". Yet now she won't return my messages ( I asked her about getting back together like an idiot :-( ) but she has been looking at my POF profile . I just don't know what to do as I don't want anyone else as they do nothing for me , yet this girl who told me she loved me and made me feel so amazing is sending me such mixed messages . I doby know what I want from this post but it had been so cathartic writing it

  10. I'm trying to put my life back in order and my weight / health is a big part of that , basically I'm after some advice , ie good diets to follow , work out routines , supplements / vitamins , is pre workout a good idea etc , any and all help would be greatly appreciated

  11. If anyone gets the chance to see Ian D Montford live then it is definitely worth it. I saw him do all 3 of his characters in one night at a small venue on Saturday night and I have to say hes one of the best live comics I have seen and the whole fake medium things is so well done.

  12. Jay lethal is getting about a bit with ROH isnt he? Maybe trying to build into the first "Grand Slam" champion? Still needs to win the Tag titles if i remeber correctly, and to be honest not sure Lethal would be a could pick for the first grand slammer.

Speaking of which, has the TV title changed hands a bit to much? I know its been active for a while now but due to the ammount of shows etc, i randomly think its changed hands a few to many times. 4+ champions so far isnt it?

I would say the opposite, many of the reigns have been pretty boring because they have been so long, in essence its a second teir belt so i think a new champ every 3 or so months on average would be about right, especially for a elt that should be defended on every tv show.
