Shibata or a pointless football match that most likely won't feature England?
Most people's teams aren't in the World Cup final, but they still watch it

For New Japan fans Mao-chan sucking a banana

I enjoyed Sunday that much that I jumped all over the ticket sales last nigth and bagged a front row stage seat, which apaprently sold out within a minute. So happy I got in there in time.
-
Went to the Futureshock show on Saturday night. Really enjoyed it. Gonna make an effort to make it out to the Underground shows in Prestwich now I know where it is. As someone else has said, can make a good weekend of it with PROGRESS shows too.
-
Results please.
1. The Origin (Gibson & Mastiff) beat Coffey / Damo, Dazzler Wrestling Team and Sweet Jesus
2. Bubblegum beat Jack Sexsmith
3. Flash Morgan Webster / Pollyanna beat South Pacific Power Couple
4. Jack Gallagher beat Timothy Thatcher
5. Rampage Brown beat Mikey Whiplash
6. Tommy End beat James Davis (After the match, End announced the stipulation for the London Riots vs SDS would be that the losers could never tag together again in PROGRESS)
7. Marty Scurll beat Mark Haskins to retain the PROGRESS title, and after the match he put Haskins arm in a chair and stomped on it, in front of Haskins' wife. (This match was excellent also)

Well then...that was absolutely amazing. I thought I enjoyed wrestling before, but PROGRESS live is something else. Most definitely buying tickets for the next show in Manchester tomorrow

One more thing about Deadpool.
Was the end fight supposed to be taking place on a SHIELD Helicarrier? That's what it looked like, but they obviously didn't want to use any symbolism.
I think so, Yes.
-
Only a few days away now from the Manchester show. Really looking forward to it. Plan on watching Chapters 24 and 25 on Saturday night ready for it.
-
Watched Deadpool last night. Brilliant. Watching it again on Monday now I ahve a Cineworld Card.

With NXT looking light on the heel side at the moment, I'd maybe push Tye Dillinger in the sort of role you mentioned. He's not a long term answer, but he's ready and he's good enough. With a little work to the 'Perfect 10' gimmick, combined with some perceivably favourable treatment from the office, he should be able to get on the wrong side of the fans. The guy probably deserves a shot too.
I saw a video at weekend that looked like he may have suffered a bad injury, so he may be out for a while, although I must admit, I haven't seen anything confirmed on that
-
I've just watched that match myself, and I must agree. Incredible.I see from the latest Wrestling Observer that Dave Meltzer saw the Marty vs. Will match from 'High Stakes' and rated it ****3/4, essentially recognising it as one of the best matches you'll see.

Unless he's got a BARB box, it makes literally no difference whether he's watching on Challenge or not anyway.
Did we really miss this nugget where he said he would illegally stream or torrent the shows instead of watching on Challenge? Some dedication to the success of TNA that you have there, dude.Lmao I've never watched it on challenge if I'm awake I stream live if I'm not I watch it on watch wrestling the next day back in the day i would torrent it
Agreed, but it's the principle more than anything.
It's a bit daft that he quotes TNA getting more viewers than Raw, despite the fact he streams Impact live from America, and isn't thinking there are thousands of people doing the same thing for Raw coz they don't have / want Sky Sports too
-
Serious question now, is wrestleuk actually Dixie Carter?
-
So would you say current Hull City are TNA on Spike but they're in a late night slot rather than prime time?
Yeah. But we're not heading for Destination America. Yet!
I'm a Bolton Wanderers fan. TNA right now is probably Bolton right now.
-
Yeah, my idea was essentially to start at Chapter 1 and work my way through it, but wherever I'm up to, probably watch the last 2 shows prior to the show on Feb 14th so I'm up to date for that show. Can't imagine I'll watch the entire catalogue between now and then
-
Reading some of these last few posts has been interesting, as I was planning on signing up tomorrow and starting from Chapter 1
-
Read on Twitter that RAW viewing figures increased by 500,000.
Down to Triple H or The Rock do we think? Or simply cause the NFL wasn't on?
HHH or The Rock? The viewing figure increase was down to AJ Styles, obviously.
I have a feeling Undertaker will tag with Brock Lesnar as a dream team vs all 3 Wyatts. A one on one Undertaker match at Mania is worthless now unless its John Cena but even then with no streak it means nothing. Plus it would be quite cool to see Taker and Brock on the same side
When you say "all 3 Wyatts", which 3 of the 4 do you mean?

I don't doubt Austin Aries is delighted to have a chance in the WWE. But seeing as I watch Impact more often that I do NXT, Austin Aries was one of my favourites. Pure selfishness on my part.
Oh ok, I mis-read what you meant then. You should probably switch TNA for NXT then. In fact the 2 hours of impact a week, replace that with NXT and Lucha Underground and you'll be much happier. I have never stopped keeping up with TNA, but can't remember the last time I actually watched it
-
Beer Money still going?
I haven't watched TNA in yonks, probably a good five or six years. But they were knocking about back then as well. I do like it when tag teams stick together for years rather than about a year, split, feud.
Well, not how you see it. They did split, they did feud, and now they're back together.
What you're all struggling to realize, is that TNA is about to turn the whole thing around and become massive again. I mean come on, Matt Hardy is their World Champion. Who doesn't want to see that?
I fully recognise that TNA has pretty much fucked up any chance of becoming a major player capable of even challenging the WWE. A decent weekly wrestling show featuring one or two big names is pretty much how low my expectations have fallen.
That said, I don't relish seeing guys like Austin Aries turn up on NXT though. Was a bit gutted about that tbh.
Why? I've followed TNA for years now, and they've had their ups and downs over the years, but NXT is a million miles better than TNA is right now. I'm sure Austin Aries belives that too.

Without wanting to sound pendantic (well, maybe a bit) I think it's from 28 Weeks Later.
I found it anyway from the first suggestion
-
28 Days Later
That's the one. Nice one.
-
I need to spend the next few weeks catching up with PROGRESS on demand.
Slightly off-topic, what is the track playing in the background of that Marty Scurll promo? Can't figure out where I know it from? Thinking it's Layer Cake for some reason
-
Not had chance to sign up to Demand Progress yet, but thinking about checking out the next Manchester show for sure, and seeing what it's like
EDIT: Bought tickets for the Manchester show. Looking forward to it. Gonna sign up to Demand Progress this weekend and see how much I can get through before the next show

Looks like I'll be heading to London for a show now too. Secured tickets for SSS16 last night
