Was just discussing this with a friend, and considering I'm currently looking at being made homeless because my twat of a landlord decided paying the mortgage wasn't important, and has instead pissed off to America, and the council are just shrugging their shoulders at it because I have no physical disability, I've no issue with people who have committed a crime like that being kicked out so the house can go to someone much more worth, namely someone who hasn't tried destroying everything around them.

Of course, logistics are harder when it comes to parents who have a 20 year old kid who was out doing the rioting, but in general, and in principal, I approve of it.

Why live with it? Why not try and change it? No human being is worth more than another.

Someone with only the ability to stack shelves in Tesco is, of course, going to be much less worth to society as a whole than a surgeon saving peoples lives daily. Are you suggesting that the surgeon shouldn't earn a higher wage?

Are you also suggesting that the manager of that same Tesco shouldn't be earning a higher wage than the guy stacking the shelves, when not only does the manager have to make sure the staff are working, but also has to take the blame when things go wrong, even if it's one of the staff that fuck up?

Yes, there are some people getting more money than they deserve, like those running banks who still get bonuses when the banks lose money. But that doesn't mean the majority are like that. Nor does it mean everyone should have the same set wage across the board. If you do a higher risk job, you deserve more money, if you do a job that's required years of training and expertise in a specialist area, you deserve more money for it. To say otherwise just proves you haven't got a clue.

If you live in London, you can travel a damned sight fucking farther than the tiny local area you live in. My Dad lived in the east end of London (Plumstead/Woolwich as that's where I grew up) and works right over in the West End. Before we had the public transport system we have now as well.

Now, with the public transport, you could do the exact same, work one end, and live the other, and not pay through the nose for public transport, and have a massive wide range of options for work. While you are giving the excuse of "there's no jobs where they live" right, there might not be... so tell them to get on a train, or a tube, or a bus, and go looking in different areas that aren't 2 minutes walk down the road.

There's a massive difference between not having jobs to apply for, and not bothering to find jobs to apply for.

I have more right to complain about being in an area with it being shit to find work than they do, as people living in my village that rely on public transport have restricted times they can work as well, and the option of one town and nowhere else. If you live in London, you don't have that issue.

You pretty much have to work out who are town trying to lynch scum, and who are scum just trying to lynch anyone that might be a mislynch. The only way to do that is by reading what people say, and questioning them and putting pressure on them.

If you check his profile, he's not currently suspended nor banned.

I'd say that it very much is the case.

I don't want to seem like I'm defending Happ or anything as it's clear from his posts that he's a bit touched, but is he really going to be banned because he bad mouthed a mod on another forum? Spectacularly sad and indicative of a man with little in his life maybe, but I don't think he should be gotten rid of permanently because he took a suspension badly. It says a lot about the insecurity of the mods that they can't take a little abuse after taking action against someone. Surely neil isn't upset by it? It's so silly.

Are you forgetting that neil has already pointed out that Butch had a mark against him for the piss poor and unfunny thread where he began naming people he disliked (otherwise known as being a twat). This time around it could (and very much should) have been left at "You guys posting that it's funny are idiots" or something, it didn't require a multipage argument stemming from it. That's why both Butch and TripleA have been given suspensions, they both were twats about it. If anything it's lucky more didn't get handed out.

I would say there's a lot more of an "us/them" mentality in regards to some of the non-paid members who bitch that paid members get treated better, or then there's the fact that depending on who is suspended it's either good modding or bad modding. Take the TripleA and Butch thing. TripleA being suspended is good work, and a "silver lining", yet Butch being suspended for the same length of time for the same thing, is a travesty of justice. It's laughable. I don't always agree with neil, there are a few times I disagree with his views, but I'd never suggest he's unfair when it comes to his modding because it's quite blatantly untrue. It's just that when it comes to people you like, you're less likely to see it as fair than you will if it was happening to someone you disliked on here.

Hmmm, then fair play, much as I think the ganging up on TripleA was a bit much (okay, massive overkill, just as he shouldn't have taken the bait. Nor posted a shit comment to begin with), if he didn't actually go hunting for stuff, it doesn't make it anywhere near as bad. Doesn't change that it was still uncalled for from both sides.
