New Warhammer DLC for Powerwash Simulator. Only time I’ll play anything Warhammer related because I’m so cool I play a powerwash simulator game.

Not really feeling this. It’s certainly the worst DLC they’ve done. Just feels like the joy isn’t there like the others. It’s nothing to do with unfamiliarity, I’ve never watched Sponge Bob but enjoyed that DLC.

We had a bidding war on the super secret forum. David won and gave it to his cleaner.

Unrelated to regular in-ring performers, but it strikes me that Jim Ross must've only been in his 40s at best – and thus arguably in the prime of his career for a commentator – when first referred to as "Good Ol' JR".

I thought that was more to do with the Southern good ol’ boy thing than actual age.

Has his base grown since the last election?

There is talk of a rise in the Latino and young black male demographic but I can’t help but wonder if that’s down to them being so unusual in terms of MAGAs that they get loads of the spotlight. Like when UKIP wheel out Asian supporters, that sort of thing.

A lot of the response on Twitter is from the usual 'AEW SUX' crowd. People calling it pointless and having no meaning having clearly not watched the match. That spot utterly has meaning in the context of it. It's dangerous and you don't have to like it, but some of the responses now are tiresome.

No doubt if that spot happened on a WWE show they would be praising it to the heavens, and vice versa. I’d say it’s worse than football fans but it isn’t.

I don't think anyone who didn't vote for Trump in the last election is likely to vote for him this time. But I think what'll make this election is if the same people who voted for Biden last time are likely to vote for him again.

Yeah, Trump won big but he won big with the republicans who bothered to vote. I’m hopeful that isn’t reflective of the full picture.

  8. Finished Manifest. It was enjoyable guff but they went from a brilliant top baddie in Elizabeth Marvel’s The Major, to an awful top baddie in Holly Taylor’s Angelina. Nothing against the actor but the character was shite.

Started Mr Mercedes last night. Really good first episode. Nice to see Brendan Gleeson playing a disgruntled miserable bastard for a change.

Yeah, makes absolute sense to me. And yet I'll never do it. Same with books. I am weak.

Saw a meme the other day that described the difference between a bookworm and a bookdragon. The former reads books like their life depends on it whereas the latter hoards them for late like it’s treasure. I’m deffo a bookdragon!

To come back to the actual original point, which was about being able to market Ngannou vs. AJ: I'd say that, regardless of the result, Ngannou provided the promoters with enough material to hype this fight up by exceeding expectations and going toe-to-toe with Fury, and even knocking him down at one point. It wouldn't have been such an effective sell, even with good promoters, if Ngannou hadn't managed that.

100%. He isn’t seen as a novelty after running the world’s top heavyweight close. That’s the big difference in fans eyes between him and, for example, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury.

  11. The only reason people thought Ngannou won was because of how much he exceeded expectations. It’s like when Dennis Rodman did an arm drag and people went nuts, or when Kate Middleton played the piano and people acted like she was Lang Lang.

If that was Big Francis’s 30th boxing match, no eyelids would’ve been batted at the decision.
