  1. barney not happy with a idiot in the crowd, anderson didn't look to happy either.

Any idea what was said? Barney looked like he just could get get to the doubles in time, no matter what he tried.

  2. Totally lost interest with all Marvel and DC at the moment have no idea what's going on with Batman so don't even bother with all this is he dead stuff, So I have started buying allot of the Judger Dredd case file book's, Just picked up Pride of Baghdad again and still think its a really good short read.

  3. The Boys is a book that is total brain dead violence and over the top stupidness, something I really like

Could somebody pick out some good jump on points of stand alone graphic novels for Green Lantern or any other good DC hero's apart from Batman and Superman.

Seem to have stopped buying as many Gn's in the last few months Marvel just seems really crap after the Skrull invasion storyline which was pants. And Batman with killing off Wayne only to bring him back seems pointless.

Apart from the Judge Dredd case files I have not picked anything new up in ages any recommendations? I read anything with Spider-man, DareDevil, Hulk, X-23, Punisher, Batman, AVP, TMNT Savage Dragon, and Dredd in it.

  4. That's not a great representation of what it'll look like. It's just a stunt costume for wide shots, hence all the padding.

If im not mistaken thats actually pretty close to how his original outfit was?

Your not that is what the costume looks like in the Ultimates. I don't see that much padding apart from the stuff on his arm which he has had in the comics.

  5. In the comic's I prefer the normal clothes version of Wolverine. In the films the X-Men leather is fine as I think the yellow/Red-Brown or even the mask would look out of place. If Wolverine wears a costume I like his X-force 1.

Would you prefer Batman without a mask in the movies too?

Was you pissed off that Joker wore facepaint and did not have white skin? or that Scarecrow just wore a mask and not the full gear?

They did try and make the Wolverine costume work and it never did, so they went with the leather look. Why does Wolverine wear a mask? Is there any purpose? Wolverine spends more time in comics wearing casual clothes now and always calls himself Logan not Wolverine.

Every superhero costume goes threw changes before they come on the big screen. Look at the massive difference in Blade, You also said how good Daredevils costume is. Would you say Bullseye's costume was good or bad?

Carbomb did Guy die in Death of Superman? I read that book but had no idea why he had the yellow ring at the time. Kinda have a big chunk of what has happened in the DC universe missing unless its Batman or Sup's

  6. Hey man, I'm not saying it makes sense to wear bright yellow spandex but I don't read comics because they're realistic, and I don't think they should change them to appease an audience of non comic fans. Maybe if wolverine's costume was yellow leather, a bit darker than in the comics and he had a mask it would've looked good. I loved Daredevil's costume in the film, it was cleverly updated for the movie, it wasn't like it is in the comics but it was still red, he still had a mask and all the elements that make his costume what it is, it just looked good in a real setting, with the x men they didn't even try.

    Daredevil? red you say?

Why did they use the up-to-date version of DD and not his 1st costume?

  7. First-Wolverine.jpg

But you think this would be better suited for a film? Bright yellow? How you would try and convince people that there is a point to wearing bright yellow? Every Marvel film explained the costumes very well, there would be no way you could stick Wolverine in yellow spandex or a bright yellow costume made out of the same stuff wet suits are made from like fantastic four's was. Some things have a point to them Wolverines costume don't even in 90% of comics now Wolverines costume is a wifebeater vest and jeans nowadays.

  8. Apparently THE HODGE is after Stilyan Petrov to replace Mascherano. If they can drop the rubbish links to Muntari, get pure CA$H for Masch and replace him with a cut price deal for Petrov then I think that is good business.

It doesn't have to be one thin layer of actual spandex but it should be as close to how it is in the comic without looking shit, in the Spider-man movies the costume is form fitting and only slightly varied from the comic and it looks great.

Wolverine in black bike leathers and no mask is not the character I like (although obviously I'm aware he appears frequently in civilian clothes in the comics)

A costume does not make the character. In Ultimate they do wear black leather.

Wolverines costume always stood out and compared to the rest of the X-Men, Bright Yellow and not even gave to him by the X-Men. While most are based on darker colours.

  9. Worst possible choice for an ensemble piece. He only has one voice. You'll be able to take every zingy line and put it in the mouth of any of the characters without noticing the difference.

To me, Whedon's stuff plays like an episode of Friends. Where every character is Chandler.

He will end up dropping out like he always does.

  10. May as well mention that when I went to watch Ironman 2 and at the end when it showed the hammer I jumped out of my chair and screamed "WOOOOOO THOOOOOOR!" I then realised that all of the 20ish peeps that stayed as well as my family were all staring at me like I was some kind of loon.

Did anyone else get this reaction or am I infact an exceptionally geeky loon?

Did you go mad when they got cap's shield out as well?

  11. If they can translate the epic look of those pictures to the movie then maybe there is a glimmer of hope for Thor. Still no winged helmet though which is like Judge Dredd walking around Mega City 1 without a helmet and we all know how well that went down.

That's pushing it a bit, Dredd never took his helmet off in the books at all. Thor has versions that don't wear helmets allot of the time, so its not the same as Dredd.

Thor without his helmet is more like Wolverine without his cowl.

  12. was a little annoyed they decided to cut out the bit about Juggernaut being his half-brother, especially as they'd cast a British actor in the role.

Yeah and the fact he was a Mutant in it also.Juggernaut could have a full film based on him vs the X-men not just the muscle of a group.

Megan taught me how to climb. And I taught her how to dangle.

It worked for this dude MRMIdAS just hang in there. In the meantime you might have time do the following, Join the army, be a fishing man, go on a small run, Maybe even start a hobby like ping pong?

  14. i want Thor to be epic and he has the backstory to make that happen but I cant help but think it will suck and the reason he has been banished to Earth rather than the story taking place in Asgard is due to the budget being a tight one in the same vein as the movie adaptation of Masters of the Universe.

In the thread I posted about Thor I posted that it had been reported that the script is allot like Masters of the Universe.

  15. anyone else find it weird that Reynolds now plays 2 popular supehero's?

is there any other actors to play 2?

3 with Hannibal king from Blade 3 as well. Halle Berry was Strom and (spits) Catwoman. Ray Stevenson played the Punisher and is playing Volstagg in Thor also.

Thor doesn't have bare arms, WTF?

Thor don't have bare arms in his current costume which I prefer out of all his previous.
