  1. To protect Jon, for reasons we are clearly not privy to at the moment. The theory is based around the fact that there is clearly something more to Jon's mother than just some random whore who had Ned's bastard. And with the keys players in the know are no longer around to tell the story, the reveal is probably going to come in slightly more dramatic fashion, which is rife for speculation.

  2. Thats a fair theory too. I remember when Ned and Jon parted ways on the road, Ned said something along the lines of "You may not have my name, but you have my blood." I often thought the wording of that might be important. Either way, if would end up with Jon having Targaryen blood - which could lead to some trouble for him with Melisandre in the near future.

  3. I once posted a theory on here about Jon Snow not being Ned's bastard child and that he was really King Robert's instead, and that Jon would be revealed to having royal blood. That theory didn't hold up when rewatching it, but there is definitely something to Jon and who his mother (maybe parents) is/are. It is a significant point of his character arc, and I doubt they would bring attention to his mysterious origins if it was to go nowhere and eventually be dropped like a WWE storyline. A Chekhov's gun of a plot strand, if you will. But the question is, with Ned, Cat and King Robert dead, who is left that could shed light on the topic.

I then started to think of the possibility of him being a son of Elia Martell and Rhaegar Targaryen. We know that Elia and her children were murdered by The Moutain in the sacking of Kings Landing during Robert's Rebellion, my thoughts where that Ned came across this as it was happening, and one child was still alive/was hidden away, and Ned took him in as his own. It would add some further reasoning to Ned's disdain towards The Mountain shown in season 1. But anyway, I used to mull over this theory with the other half while chatting about GoT, and felt that the only way we would ever make any inroads into this theory would be if Jon Snow and The Red Witch Melisandre were to ever cross paths. She has the ability to sense royal blood within a person, as evidenced with Gendry back in season 3, and we seen her getting all tingly looking when she was looking a Jon Snow through the flames, up at The Wall in the last episode of season 4.

Now, she may have been just getting all tingly looking at Jon Snow, cause Jon is a sexy beast and you couldn't blame her, but I'm thinking that we are going to make some inroads into Jon's past next season, and it might be a game changer of sorts.

Or, in all likelihood, I'm talking complete bollocks again, but its fun to speculate.

  4. Wow, that one was a kick on the nuts.

I was late to the party with Game of Thrones, and I had kinda guessed Ned Stark would die in season one, as I remembered loads of ads to build up season two on Sky Atlantic and Sean Bean was nowhere to be seen in any of them. The Red Wedding was a shocker, but I disliked Kat Stark, had no invested interest in Talisa, and was pretty "meh' on Robb.

Oberyn though, fucking ouch. Really fell in love with his character. That was extremely brutal. In a bit of shock at the moment.

  5. This is probably a real irrational annoyance, but it kinda falls under the bracket of what Ian was saying about how Jericho loves to talk about himself; stuff that annoys me about the podcasts is when you get a guy talking to Austin, be it on Austin's cast or someone else's, like Jericho or X-Pac and they start to compare themselves to someone like Austin. It just sounds really off. I love Sean Waltman, there was no bigger X-Pac fan back in the day than me, but when he was on Austin's pod, he kind of implied that Bischoff sacking him from WCW was similar in impact as it was to sacking Austin. Same with Jericho when Austin recently appeared on his show. He kept referring to him and Austin as "we" and "guys like us" changing the face of wrestling and so forth. I know Jericho was a big player, but come on. The only ones that can get away with saying that kind of stuff, and comparing themselves to Austin would be The Rock and Hogan, and a lesser extent HBK and the nWo guys.

Like I said, its probably an irrational thing, but it really grinds my gears.

  6. The theory for that is fine and all, but in reality, a Bryan v Triple H match is way bigger than Bryan v Batista v Orton for the title. Bryan overcoming HHH by making him tap in the middle of the ring is a much bigger pay off than him winning the belt, so much so that winning the title later in the show would feel somewhat anti climatic.

You can use a victory over Triple H as a way of getting Bryan a title shot further down the road, be it the next PPV or Summerslam or whenever, but Triple H isn't the guy of guy you have to go through first to get a title shot later. The way this storyline has been played out since Summerslam last year is that beating Triple H is the end game here, not some bit part in a one night mini arc.

That would essentially mean Triple H v Bryan would have to go on first match, more than likely (maybe top of the first hour), and I just can't see Triple H curtain jerking Mania 30. The guy only wrestles once in a blue moon, he is a special attraction performer at this point. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Orton v Batista goes on before HHH v Bryan.

  7. How do you change weapons while driving? Noticed Rockstar's Twitter mentioned "Hit L1/LB while driving, without a weapon equipped, to reply in kind" in reference to fellow drivers flipping the player off... But when I get into/onto a vehicle, it seems to auto-equip a weapon... And I can't figure out how to change that back to the fist.

X or Square, depending on whether its xBox or Playstation.

  8. Cheers Chimpo! I knew about the secrets on the special map (only because I was googling it yesterday, assuming that map would reveal things the standard one didn't), but that video makes it all a lot clearer.

No problem. I only heard about it today, and I've been following this thread for the last few days and hadn't noticed anyone mention it, and I wasn't going to trawl back through 70 odd pages to be sure. But generally, I'm so behind on these kinds of things, that I would post this and everyone would roll their eyes saying; 'duh noob, thats last months news'.

Anyway, there is some pretty cool stuff on there. I just need to get my own black light now.
