I made this little display shelf/light box for a few figures (those in the game). The lid/shelf lifts off so I can turn the light on and off. I re-designed the Wrestlemania Arcade game art from the original arcade marquee and printed to perspex. It's all made out of scrap wood and was fun to make. I have a few more ideas to make soon.

That's fair, however, I think failing to stab it to death with a Jumbo HSS drill bit for 15 mins, probably dampened my spirits and dented my pride. You're right though, I should've attcked the toilet unblocking as a cow birthing rather than concrete breaking. I don't know what I was thinking in hindsight.

Other than posting my condolences to EugeneSpeed, it's been about a year since I've posted at a guess, but what better way to return than inform you all about a big shit? 

I run a workshop, specialising in wood carving and creative arts. Groups of people attend my sessions, typically those associated to charities, or specific groups like OAPs, etc.

On Monday I had an absolutely epic shite at work in my workshop. It was like an end of the year celebratory shit, it was huge. Flushed once, it refused to move, flushed again, nope, then a 3rd time and that's when it all went wrong. 

The water filled the bowl and it was obviously going to be an issue, the toilet couldn't handle it. Big blockage. 

It's a workshop, but we don't have a plunger, so I had to improvise and used a 2 foot by12mm industrial drill bit. After 10 mins of stabbing aimlessly in to the bog, nowt was happening, I was simply swilling filthy shitty water around, it wouldn't drain at all.

I then had to report it, we needed a specialist out, but we have to use approved contractors, and to book one I have to contact the orgs maintenance manager. She's late 20's, prim and proper, very sound lass we'll call Sarah. Not a chance I'm telling Sarah I've just had a massive shit and she needs to sort it out. So I explain the issue but say we've heard rat movement between floors (true) and at a guess, a rat 'or something' is stuck in the down pipe and had frozen...hmm, anyway whatever it had blocked the pipe causing waste to come back up from the previous week. Sounds reasonably plausible and takes the stink off me, while addressing the problem. Sorted.

Later in the day she turns up with a plumber. I lead them to hell and try and drop little ideas about why it's possibly happened, anything other than 'I did a huge shit', I'm too far in now, can't go back. The plumber said "if it wasn't already in the bowl and then all came back up, then it's a drain issue and would require a team in, making it a much bigger job", I just said "hmm right". He put his plunger in the bog, worked his magic and just said the immortal like, "there's nee rats in here like, someone's just had a giant shit". Sarah looked at me, I felt I had to respond but didn't know what to say, I decided in a split second to respond with a shake of my head and said "I'll have a word". 

Have a word with who, and about what?I hadn't worked that out yet, it all happened so fast. As they were leaving they just said "please just remind people not to put anything down that shouldn't and keep an eye on things". I said "yeah of course, they're in today, I'll mention it".

On the way out of the room on the back of the door with a very basic weekly calendar, it's huge, you can't miss it, and in massive letters it states the day and the group due it.

I'd inadvertently blamed my massive bog blocking shit on a group lonely OAPs with communication difficulties. 

Probably a special place in hell for me now, fair enough, but at least Sarah doesn't think I do humongous shits, although she probably does think exactly that.

I'll fuck off again now, might post again next year if anything else of interest happens. Have a nice Christmas.

Just found about this today. Barry was such a canny lad. Typically not seen him in ages but whenever I bumped in to him at the radio station or at wrestling shows, he was always very sound. Really caught off guard by it.

Tell them Grapple Arcade suggested them. They’re the best at custom work in the country at the moment. Tippy actually designs the figures for Chella Toys.

I’m surprised that there has only been 2 Disney themes in our top 10. 
I know the bloody lyrics word for word, more so than I do for my tunes. 

In November 2021, graffiti appears under a bridge in Newcastle of the DX logo and “In Icke we trust”, using the same colour paint. It’s the kind of behaviour I assume banned UKFF members get up to in between new accounts.

Not sure if any of you play the Kachi Clash game, but it’s fun while the tournament progresses. You need to submit your team before the first day of the Basho, so you can’t join during.

However, get yourselves signed up and join in for the November Basho. 
You pick a roster of 5 sumo, 1 from each category (see pic) and you must keep them, no subs, for us duration of the basho. Naturally, some of your sumo will fight each other and you get injuries. 
You get a point for each victory on each day (5 points total possible each day). There’s a few hundred people take part each time. See other pic for top end of leaderboard.

I’m not going to do the write ups like last time and the pod is too busy with other stuff for this Basho, but we’re planning to bring it back in November.

If a bunch of you do make Kachi Clash teams in November, it could be fun to chat about progress in here? Save that for November.

In the mean time, I think the writing is on the wall for this Basho.

Hakuho’s entire stable are out with Covid. Terunofuji is going to absolutely piss all over this Basho. I can honestly see him going 15-0 again. 
I’m hoping for strong outings from Wakatakakage & Hoshoryu too. Even though Waka’s isn’t in my team, I really root for him every basho.

Hope you’re all good. Thought I’d post the following. I’ve been doing a bit of design work with a brewery and there’s a chance I’ll be starting some new and exciting work with them in September. I’ll bring it up at the time providing it all goes to plan.

In the meantime, I thought I’d share something I’ve been doing. A few years back I had to give up drinking due to health reasons. At the time I was a full on craft wanker and was fully in to finding new bars, pubs, breweries and craft beer. I loved it and released some craft pales as part of the events I was running, that alongside the fact my dad has worked in the brewery trade for approx 30 years, with me accompanying him as a nipper to his rep calls, helping to fit lines and pythons, spending a lot of time in rural pubs, it’s in the blood.

Fir the last 3 years I’ve been purely on alcohol free (AF) beers. When I started drinking it, it was shit, I was gutted by the crap range and quality available, but I had to crack on, and it’s eventually pulling off.

I’ve travelled across the north east, parts of the U.K. and some Europe, hunting and sampling AF craft. I’ve been making notes of where sells it, who makes it and my opinion of its quality. It gets a good score if it not only tastes good, but also tastes similar to an alcoholic counterpart. 

Sons of the discussions I’ve had with bars and bottle shops have lead them to start stocking AF options, which I’m personally chuffed about. You don’t have to be a recovering alcoholic, pregnant, religious, driving etc to want to drink AF. You might just want to break up a day long session without reverting to soft drinks. Everyone has their reasons, but it’s nice that there’s options for quality tasting options now.

Long story short, I’ve set up a FB group for people to discuss their findings. You can order loads from websites now anyway, but it’s obviously great to know you can find it when out and about. It’s a spanking new group but people seem keen. So if any of you are interested in AF, or are happy to post, feel free to pop on an check it out.

I’ll finish off by saying, I’ll be making a best of the month top 5 kinda thing. Both of these will make the list and were supped during the England vs Denmark game. Both high quality.
