I was on a Radio One quiz with Clive Warren at about two in the morning when I worked nights. It was one quiz per night with the best of the week getting the main prize on the Friday. I led until the last day when I was beaten by a ten year old. Definitely a fix.
Did get a bunch of CDs as a runner up though including Depeche Mode greatest hits (yay) and Mmmmm Bop (not so yay).

Paylay is how stupid North Americans says Pele unfortunately. I like Mauro though.
Hellooova kick annoys me though! Surely its Hell-of-ah?
I think there is an Hawaiian god that is pronounced paylay which is why they do it. But they're wrong.
And I've assumed, like Bicurious, that Helloova Kick was just to avoid saying hell and upsetting over sensitive religious types.

Paddy Power are offering 500-1 on Donald Trump winning the Royal Rumble.
Same for ex Rugby League player and former San Fransico 49er Jarryd Hayne. It's in the 'you're a gobshite if you stake anything on this' section of bets
Like Leicester winning the premier league?

Saw a preview for West World in the cinema thats coming to Sky Atlantic. I think JJ Abrams is behind this and its based off an old series.
Anyway I think I might end up liking this, if anyone hasn't seen it there are trailers out there.
It's based on the Michael Crichton film starring Yul Brenner. The TV show looks pretty good to me.

I would have loved to have seen a BritWres televised show that took on a "Hearn-style" production.
Much like the darts etc. with a season and league table and walk on girls and drunken crowds.
Barry Hearn has stated a few times that a lot of influences on his productions have come from pro-wrestling with theme music and nicknames and even fish-o-mania being named after WrestleMania. I am sure I read somewhere too that he wanted players to exaggerate themselves a bit too for the crowds.
Would have been interesting to see a Hearn type pro wrestling event.
Well anyone who saw Peter Manley in the first few Premier Leagues would have seen him heeling it up for the crowd.

After watching Guardians of the Galaxy earlier it dawned on me that Enzo and Cass are Rocket and Groot.

Did I dream it or did they start to do that 'count one number ahead of the referee' thing at the NXT show?
Yes they did.

Watched the show yesterday and cannot see how Mania tops that. Thoroughly enjoyed that and felt that every matched had me hooked. Am already planning on going to the Echo Arena for the tour and this show was a big selling point for me.

Who is this Stuart Carapola that has about a ton of wrestling e-books on amazon?
He contributes to 411mania as I have seen a few reviews from there.

Another pic to add to the 'Cena looking shit in a suit' album.
To be fair that is the best fitting jacket I have ever seen him in.

There defo was a haku, purple tights with the leg stomp action. Have a feeling barbarian too
No, and no.
Though I never collected the figures, I read a PWI in 1989 with a figure advert and had no idea Haku had held the "King" title (it was always Duggan as far as I knew in my early days).
And here it is. Though it appears it was never officially released. It seems these were LJNs, not Hasbros (this really isn't my area of expertise).
And this is what I remembered although I thought it was a Hasbro. Love the fact that it does not come with the crown as illustrated.

I thought there was a King Haku, maybe my memory serves me wrong.

Any time I see a car number plate that ends with a WL, WA, WO or WF I have to make a federation name out of it, tonight I saw the Dagenham Wrestling League.

I am up to Superbrawl '91 in my attempt to watch all PPVs in chronological order and have just seen Big Josh come to the ring with a pair of bears. Real life bears walking on their hind legs. I am still utterly amazed that it was considered normal and ok for this to happen, they were bears for crying out loud.

I'm seriously thinking about watching every WWF/WWE, WCW and ECW PPV that I haven't seen yet in chronological order. That will take me a while but I'm especially looking forward to some of the 80s NWA and early 90s WCW stuff as that was way ahead of its time. I remember watching early 90s Bill Watts WCW on ITV and it's an underrated era IMO. Can't fault the Network at all now. There was a bit of buffering and some connectivity issues with certain PPVs at first but lately, I've had no problems watching on my PS3 at all. HD and no buffering. I think it's BRILLIANT value for money. If new episodes of Raw and Smackdown were on the Network, I'd probably cancel my Sky Subscription. Wonder if the FA Premier League will follow suit and launch their Premier League Pass Service (currently available in parts of Asia and New Zealand) in the UK? I'd guess not because there are too many peoples' financial interests at stake (namely Sky and BT's). I believe it only works out as £8 a month for that service. If only...
Ooh a friend of mine from work and I are doing this. We are only Starrcade 83 in so far though....

If I bet on Seth Rollins to win on Sunday, does it count if he wins via cash in after the match?
You would be betting on him to win the match not the title so no.

How do they determine who gets to draw there ball first?
They draw numbered balls from a tombola and to determine who draws first from that one they draw balls from a tombola.

I saw a reverse frankensteiner on Lucha Underground the otherday and it looked sensational. If it looks cool, I have no problem with logic.
What's gone wrong in your lives that you're looking for realism in professional wrestling?
Agree with both of these. My gripe with the steel cage door opening is that it goes against the whole idea of having a steel cage match in the first place. You have both guys spend 10/15 minutes trying to climb over the top and then they suddenly decide to just open the door. Never understood it.

Surely the the fact that one of the competitors (the quickest one) wouldn't just leg it out over the top should worry you more?

Yeah as a diehard WWF kid I was gutted Flair won the '92 Rumble because I perceived him as looking skinny and ancient, especially compared to fucking SID JUSTICE, coupled with the fact that just after seeing it I was shown a tape of him tapping Neidhart out, who I loved because he was a head the ball, on Superstars or something. I couldn't get my head around how he could batter any of the people he was going up against because he seemed so boring. I still don't think my dad's forgiven Piper for not launching him over the top rope in that Rumble when he gets him up for the gorilla press.
Wasn't that Bulldog?

Lovely lovely Paget Brewster, 40:
But she could have your eye out with that nose, look at her in profile.

79 twats nominated so far, with most of this week left to vote. It'll probably end up being a top 20 or 25, as everything's very close from that point downwards.
It should be fifty no matter if theres one vote or no votes between the people from 25 down. Even if you have to 26. Jordan, 26. Peter Andre, 26. Kerry Katonia etc etc.
I have to agree that it should be 50 no matter what. I'll send mine in a minute.

Victoria Coren. Hur hur I'd "Poker" and let her read my column, if her mouth and my cock could "Only Connect" etc.
That's quite a flattering pic of her she is not very good looking and benefits immensely from being quite good at poker, female and not hideous therfore being consiered far better then she actually is. Rant over.

Wasn't the Wembley capacity for football 80k so when you add the floor it would make sense to be over that? I recall it being pretty full.
