  1. No, Tennant's doctor was locked up for 365 days in the aborted timeline. 400 years is the distance in time between the War Doctor and the 11th Doctor.

Just to clear up a few things, McGann regenerated into Hurt, Hurt regenerated into Eccleston. Hurt was the 9th Incarnation but not technically a Doctor.

The Twelfth Doctor was present when they all teamed up to save Gallifrey because they had the means to contact all the Doctors at that point, (with Gallifrey still being present at that point, they could send a message to all the other Doctors and because it was just a moment, they could even send a message to future Doctors).

  2. I feel like you might be taking this a touch seriously. But, to clarify, i'm not confused and it hasn't passed me by that those involved might have us believe that Matt Smith is popping his clogs at Christmas. I'm just saying that I think they may be lying.

If it fits the story fair enough but I don't think it would be appropriate for this one. Its not like there was a chance of Pertwee or Davison regenerating in "The Three" and "The Five" for eg.

  3. To be honest I felt like the last shows were too comedy heavy so I'm relieved that the 4 main comedy guys are all in one match on next show rather than being spread out. I don't mind the odd comedy match and all the guys are good at what they do but one per show is enough for me.

I have no idea how much Vader can do these days so I was expecting to see Vader just destroy someone (somone like Bubblegum or Rayne), get his signature moves in and look like the monster and gernally have a squash match that would protect him. But now he's got Mastiff it's going to have to be competative so it will be very interesting to see how that goes.

Also Steen had best match on every show from past weekend, please bring him back.

Could well be a "Passing of the Torch" moment.

  4. I enjoyed Dar vs Lionheart and I didn't so much mind that Lionheart won with a cheeky rollup pin.

What did bug me though was Dar leaving the ring, in the MIDDLE of the match tohave a go at the promoter and then come back. I thought it would have been better if say, Fludder had actually come to the ringside area and then Dar took his focus off Lionheart to have a go, whilst still being in the ring and THEN turn into a pin attempt, I think that would have been better. The match as a whole though was fair decent.

  5. The crowd really do support the guys they want to succeed, regardless of so called heel/face divides. Breeze, Enzo, English, and especially Zayn.

AKA the Impact Zone problem, like when TNA pushed Lance Hoyt to the moon because he went out on the piss with the "always first in the queue, always in the front row" crowd so they went nuts for him when he came out. Ergo, this guy MUST be over...

OK, it's a far smaller problem in NXT as nothing that happens there REALLY matters, but now you've had Amore/Cassidy & English within a couple of months of each other "turn" face just because one building full of people refuses to boo them (I use "turn" as much like in the big leagues of WWE, actual face turns are few & far between - you just come out one week as a face & that's that).

By contrast that same crowd turned Bo Dallas heel, which was definitely the right direction for him to go in.

  6. What does crossing the legs add to the move?

I dunno. Makes it look fancier. Maybe you get more purchase to drive them into the mat gripping the crossed leg than resting your hand on their bottom like you do with a normal Northern Lights Bomb.

Could be worse, there are far more contrived moves. My least favourite being Mark Haskins' Cradle To The Grave, which is a pump-handle cradle Tombstone. It takes a week to set up, and the pump-handle is utterly pointless.

A Fisherman Suplex would fit the criteria of the name much better.

  7. Yeah, I recall Anderson being one of the few guys new Nice Guy Michaels publicly said was a total shit to work with. Am I misremembering or did Michaels actually put him over relatively cleanly on a PPV or Raw too? I also remember Anderson taking a swipe at Scott Hall the night after he no showed the TNA PPV where Samoa Joe had a period.

Michaels beat Anderson at Armageddon 2007 but they had a rematch on RAW the next week which Anderson won.

  8. Anyone got an idea on which talent he could be talking about?

Mr Anderson. Always gets taken out for months on end and has no natural instincts. And notorious for giving the "Stone Cold did it" excuse. When I heard it, I could picture times I remembered him doing it. I remember an occasion in a three-way, one of them hit a finisher, Anderson runs in and intercepts and instead of going for the pin, he follows the bloke outside. There has been many occasions done shit like that.

Yea you've probably got it right there considering Anderson is a big Austin fan as well.

If that's true, he's the worst Austin fan ever.

  9. Just having a think here in the office as it's a slow day. I know I'm going to get shot down for this, but oh well here goes. If they bring Sting in for Wrestlemania howabout having him tag with the Undertaker (against the Wyatts, Shield) and then have Sting lose the match for him and the Undertaker. 'Taker gets mad beats on Sting, and it sets up a 1 on 1 match at a future PPV. This way Undertaker can say he's never been pinned at WM (streak technically still intact) and there's the possibility of a future PPV getting a big, big rating. I guess all it comes down to is if Sting comes in will he be willing to lie down for someone?

Not at Wrestlemania, the tag match idea is fine but have it set up the match at Mania not use it a means to do business afterwards because if the Undertaker loses at Mania that should be it for him, a potential loss at Mania is his retirement match.

  10. Roode with the Big Gold Belt on Smackdown with Kaz and Daniels as back-up would be sublime.

Can we throw Aries in there as well? He can do goofy or deadpan, be annoying as an antagonist and in the ring add a touch of explosiveness to any multi-man tags the group have. He could be the unit's blasting cap, if you like.

    Hell yeah!

It's A Double - the greatest man that ever lived - he can be a part of this never-gonna-happen fantasy.

He also fits into the "way too good for current TNA telly" category as well.

In addition to that WWE didn't mind THQ using Aries for voiceover work in WWE 12 so I don't think it's completely out of the question.

  11. It's a real shame that in 2013, Hulk Hogan is the most valuable asset that TNA has, AJ Styles and or Bobby Roode should be the most valuable to TNA and until they stop relying on guys WWE made and start making guys of their own, they'll never get out of the mess they are currently in. I mean seriously, why is it so difficult for them to promote their own guys to the point where they can promote themselves successfully?

  12. After a few more days to reflect on the show and my thoughts and looking through some of the pictures I took on the night, I have to say that I do actually think the venue worked as a fill in pretty well but really can't wait to get back to the old one. Still gutted and confused by the ridiculous arrival of Lionheart, was really hoping to have seen the back of him from PCW altogether, seemingly he will now be around all the time again. I was also pleased for April, she has worked really hard the last year or so and its nice to see her getting some recognition for that, also nice not to see any kind of belt being held by Rayne. I do think PCW is in danger of turning into another of those places just using the same guys as Futureshock, especially with Cyanide and Danny Hope now also in the mix there. Has no one got any imagination these days?

That last bit is inaccurate because Cyanide and Danny Hope are not "Futureshock" guys, they both wrestle for a variety of promotions across the United Kingdom. Promotions tend to work together now and share talent, no-one is exclusive.

It's not a question of having imagination, it's about putting on the best show you can and for that you need guys like Cyanide and Danny Hope. :)

Obviously i'm not suggesting talent be exclusive but it is becoming pretty similar in roster for both shows now, FSW have started using loads of the same guys that were doing PCW before (like Mastiff & TBone) and PCW seem to be drafting in more and more guys who had been regular Futureshock guys. The promotions in the North West, GPW included don't even seem willing to bring in any other talents from over the country for us to see. I live in preston and don't drive so don't get chance to see any of the out of area guys usually as now all of our local promotions just seem to all want to use the same small pool of talent. My point was mainly that it would be nice if they started bringing in some fresh guys to the area, like from Hull or the Midlands maybe or even from London or Wales. GPW's faction is entirely made up of Futureshock guys.

Erm....I can name 5 (I edited this post because I put 4 instead of 5, oops!) new non local talents that we've used recently...

Matt Myers from Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire-GPW Back With A Bang 2013

T-Bone from Worcestershire, GPW Back With A Bang 2013-GPW Romance is Dead 2013

The Hunter Brothers from the West Midlands, GPW ThunderBrawl 2013

Kris Travis from Sheffield, Yorkshire, GPW X 2013

Oh and Dylan Roberts is from Wales! :D

    :)

    PS Hitman is spot on.

  14. To be fair whoever they get, unless it's a really big name, is going to be met with some people in the audience having no buggering clue who they are. They're just expecting a nice audience who'll react as they're encouraged to I think. Which hopefully they'll get.

Its a shame its not a two hour live talent show where the candidates will have to complete challenges like "who waves the sonic screwdriver about the best" and so on. I mean, as a fan of the show it'd be crap, but it'd make such wonderful car crash television. Its now time for the "snog the companion" contest, and then who can talk to a robotic dog for the longest without laughing and then give them sixty seconds to rummage through an old costume box and put on the coolest costume. I know it'd be awful but a perverse part of me would love to see that. Throw in a knobbly knees round becuase I think Doctors should have knobbly knees.

:) Damien Molony is my pick, called it back when he was doing Being Human.

  15. I have a few friends, in upsettingly modest positions with little knowledge to speak of, who reckon the casting call started ages ago and that the registered interest has been absolutely huge. Its a far, far bigger deal than last time, what with the increase in the global profile of the show. I have nothing juicy in terms of names, though I'm led to believe Richard Coyle has auditioned. If that excites anybody.

Ooh! He's worked with Moffatt before on Coupling, that is interesting!
